Congrats Pot121!!

I had my interview today too (in Sacramento) and it went very well. My oath date is 05/19/2015.

  • I had to wait for an hour in the waiting area before they called my name and that was the only tough part.
  • The officer went through my application first and then administered the civics and English test.
  • He didn't ask for any additional documents...just the passport, license and green card.
  • I had two traffic tickets that I disclosed in my application but he didn't seem to care. I didn't even have proof of payment for the tickets. He said that a traffic violation is a not a big deal as long as it's not alcohol related.
  • My n-400 application was based on marriage, so I brought in additional documents just in case but he didn't ask for anything. I had sent a bunch of documents such as joint financial and tax records earlier with the application though.
  • At the end he asked me whether I can attend the oath ceremony the next week on 05/19 and I said yes. He then printed out an oath letter immediately and asked me to come to the ceremony on the 19th.

Interview done today!! It was very easy!!

Interview was scheduled for 11:05am. I checked in at 10.55. Was called at 11:45. IO was very nice, asked for my Interview notice and green card. He asked me a few questions about my application (name, address, dob etc..). He looked into my files to make sure everything is correct. Then he gave me the test. Asked me 6 questions, I got it all correct. He then Asked me to read a question and asked me to write the answer. After that, he gave me a paper saying I passed he civic test and that I am approved!!

11/29/2011: 2nd Biometrics done but not all 10 are passed again. Hoping for the best =)
12/19/2011: Interview notice for Jan 27 at National Benefits Center (local office).
01/17/2012: EAD/AP Combo Card received.
01/27/2012: Interview done, lasts about 30 minutes but the wait is long - 1 hour. The interviewer approved us verbally, have to send in police clearance.
01/30/2012: Got police Clearance at local police station and mailed in.

Oath ceremony letter received, oath ceremony scheduled for 06/02/2015 8:30 am...updating my timeline

Congrats, what date did you receive the online update that you had been scheduled for oath ? Just curious how long it took for you letter to turn up.

Thank you! On 04/24 I got a text/email that I was being scheduled for oath and then on 05/08 (Friday)got text/email that l was scheduled and letter was mailed.

Hi,

My interview on 5/5/2015 at SF office went well, and was recommended for approval.

On 5/8/2015, got text/email update, then on-line status shows" Oath Ceremony will be scheduled"

so far have not received the oath letter yet,

I wonder if I should call National Customer Service Center 1-800-375-5283 to find out if the oath letter has been mailed?

You don't need to call NCS yet as if they scheduled your oath they will update your case status online from Oath Ceremony will be scheduled to Oath Ceremony scheduled and it will say in the status that they sent you a notice with the date, time and location where you take the oath. Congrats!

Questions asked on my interview:

1. Who makes federal laws?

2. What movement end racial discrimination?

3. Name 2 National holidays

4. When was the constitution written?

5. What is an ammendment?

6. Who did the US fight during World War II?

He asked me to read

"Who lives in the White House?"

He asked me to write the answer

"The president lives in the White House"

Hope this helps everyone still waiting for interview!!!

I am wondering how long after Interview they schedule you for the Oath Ceremony?

Interview done today!! It was very easy!!

Interview was scheduled for 11:05am. I checked in at 10.55. Was called at 11:45. IO was very nice, asked for my Interview notice and green card. He asked me a few questions about my application (name, address, dob etc..). He looked into my files to make sure everything is correct. Then he gave me the test. Asked me 6 questions, I got it all correct. He then Asked me to read a question and asked me to write the answer. After that, he gave me a paper saying I passed he civic test and that I am approved!!

Congratulations Pot121!!!

Glad your interview was very easy; and I bet you are like "what a relief" to be done with it.


F-1 to LPR
Day 0 - 03/31/2012 - Package (concurrent I-{130/AOS/AP/EAD} ) sent to Chicago with USPS
Day 1 - 04/02/2012 - Delivered!!!
Day 5 - 04/06/2012 - "Acceptance confirmation received for entire forms & routed to NBC" was sent via email.
Day 10 - 04/11/2012 - NOA for I-{130/AOS/AP/EAD} Received.
Day 15 - 04/16/2012 - NOA for Biometrics appointment Received. {Scheduled for 05/08/12}
Day 37 - 05/08/2012 - Biometrics app completed.
Day 44 - 05/15/2012 - Interview date schedule @ Dallas/Irving TX..
Day 54 - 05/25/2012 - EAD/AP production Notification.
Day 75 - 06/15/2012 - Interview'd with NO approval. 1 hr Post-interview: Received I-485/Card production email.
Day 78 - 06/18/2012 - 2nd emails {I-485/Decision/Register PR and I-130/Post-Decision} Received.
Day 81 - 06/21/2012 - Received {email of Card mailed out} and 2 Hardcopies {I-485 & I-131 approval}
Day 83 - 06/23/2012 - GC touched down. 10x Mailman.
