What documents to attach n400 (5year rule)

Hey Everyone,

i am little confused about what to put in my envelope for my naturalization.

i am qualifying under 5 year rule, i divorced with my ex wife. and got my 10 year green card on january 19 of 2010.

i included:

n400 (original) application

2 photo

photocopy of green card front and back

my divorce paper from court (copy)

money order for 680 $

am i missing anything?

also i would like receive text and an email for my case what is the number for that document at uscis???? and should i put that in the package or i send that to different place??

I applied under 5 yr rule. I sent the following -

• N-400
• Photos
• Alien registration card
• Copy of passport
• Copies of traffic violation
• Check for $680

what traffic violations?? did you get dui or speeding ticket?

I applied under 5 yr rule. I sent the following -

I just put it on top of all other docs - so that they could see this form easily.

another question...

some places in my application is empty (blank).. should i write N/A or NONE on the places that are blank???? should i leave it blank??

when i try to type in the acrobat reader .. it doesn't let me .. how did you guys do it??

They say to not leave items blank, but I think it also causes issues if you write "None" in some fields. For the childs legal name I type in "None" and the IO commented that the computer system saw that and he had to blank it out. When I was filling out the form on my computer, if the form didn't accept N/A or None, I just left it blank.

The form is pretty good, but it needs more work. There are a lot more fields that they could grey out if you answer certain other questions a certain way.

Hi ce2010... this is what I did: I typed in everything that was applicable to me on the pdf document, then I printed it out. That way the 2d Barcode down the bottom gets all the necessary information that applies to me.

After I printed it out, I then wrote in with black ink N/A in every blank place that an answer was needed and also next to any of the yes/no questions that required no answer.

Luckily, afret it gets scanned into the USCIS computer system, an actual person (IO) reviews it. So I don't believe you can go wrong doing it that way.

Ce2010... I too am also applying under the 5 year rule, and am also divorced frfrom the USC... eexactly what you have in your list is exactly what I put in my packet to send in.

- N400 application

- 2 passport photos

- photocopy of green card front and back

- copy of the divorce paper from court

- check for $680

I put these all together and paperclipped them.

Additionally, I also sent in Form G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance. I put this on top on the paperclipped stack and put the entire documents in the envelope, sent via UPS.

Just ONE check or money order for the total amount of $680. I used check because I can then track it and see when they actually process it! With a money order you cannot.

One More question...

I have 2 pages of extra information that i have to include(travel and where i worked) so i typed and now wondering should i put 2 extra sheets of paper at the end of the application or after the page that it belongs to ????

I had an extra attachment for additional travel outside the USA and put it at the end of the application.

Ce2010...I had a similar thing, an extra page for work and where I lived. What I did,on the sepArata page I wrote the number thE answer applies too with the worword "continued..." and then I also wrote the name of that section and then I numbered my answer, with details of where I worked/lived. I then put each page directly behind the page of the application which was needing that answer. I also ensured to write my A-number on the top right corner of those 2 pages.

Attach extra pages to provide any additional information. Make sure you have your A-number on those page. I did the same thing.
