OMG! I just got an interview date today for Nov. 3rd! The NVC rep was so sweet. I didn't get her name, wish I had I was so nervous lol. I asked her if we had a interview date. She like "maybe" and said "how badly do you want your interview date?" I'm like "Real badly!!" lol. She's like "Well you in luck your interview was just made today for Nov 3rd!!" :dancing:

Interview scheduled! November 21st. The Friday before Thanksgiving week isn't exactly the stuff dreams are made of, but I suppose I should be thankful we finally have an interview date.

Yeah I don't know if asking the embassy to move the date up helps us. We've got to book some set of flights so knowing the date might be more important than moving it up. I guess I will look at flights with flexible dates and see.

I remember bdrew and others suggested waiting for medical results and case file to be at embassy before requesting a date change. How long does all that take and does it then take one more week for the embassy to confirm a new date or deny the request? It sounds like we wouldn't know the new date until the end of October.

If we don't change the date that means Thanksgiving in London I guess because we can't really bet on the visa getting printed and passport returned that week.

What we did is get our flight 10 days after our initial date, but that was pushing it. I'd recommend doing what bdrew advised, which is 2 weeks out from the interview. We were able to get an earlier date which gave us even more time to get the visa (almost an entire month) and also tie up any loose ends in the UK. Yes, I'd schedule your medical asap and either tell the embassy your medical is scheduled for that date (after they receive your case and it says "Ready"), or wait until you actually have the medical done to try and get an earlier date. And yeah, the embassy abides by US holidays, so the visa issuance may be slower around that date.

As far as them giving us a new date, their response to the contact form was either the next day usually or the 2nd response took a week after I prodded them again, but we received a hardcopy letter in the post with the new date before they even replied back. Your case should show "Ready" either 1-3 days after it arrives at the embassy.

did medicial in Toronto yesterday was easier then i thought but apparently the us immigration has started a new paperwork system for them to use as of oct 1st and you now need to take 4 passport size photos with you. Just thought i would let everyone know before they get caught without enough.

Thanks for the info! :star: That means you have already received your interview letter since Canadian doctors don't allow you to take the medical exam unless you have your interview letter? :huh2:

Oh my!!!! Just got off the phone with NVC. my interview date is 11/17/2014 CC is 09/15.

Interview scheduled! November 21st.

The Friday before Thanksgiving week isn't exactly the stuff dreams are made of, but I suppose I should be thankful we finally have an interview date.
