I have been unexpectedly unemployed for a few weeks now. We just received our NOA2 so I'm filling out everything I need to for our interview. I've always planned to use my dad as a sponsor from day 1 because I never met the poverty limits and he is well over. I know I fill out one for him, but since I'm unemployed, am I just leaving employment spaces blank on my I-134? Also, on part 11, do I need to say on my dad's affidavit that he is providing my fiance' with room and board since we will be living with him until we can get a place of our own? How am I supposed to know how long we will be there? (It asks for how long on the form) I am so confused and I don't want to do anything wrong.

Your answer is pretty vague and I'm not sure what you're actually answering. Can you be more specific?

No one knows what I'm supposed to put on these forms? That doesn't seem right :(

I've never seen embassy-specific information about that. I've just always seen that you need to fill one out regardless. I can take blank copies of them that are signed in case there's an issue. But I'm just worried.

I did but those are for people with income. I don't have income at the moment. So I don't know if I'm supposed to put "none" here on all of those blanks:

7. I am employed as or engaged in the business of with

_______________ _______________

(Type of Business) (Name of Concern)

at __________________ ____ _____ ________

(Street Number and Name (City) (State) (Zip Code)

Or am I supposed to put something else?

Then on this part:

11.

I intend do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in item 3

(If you check "intend," indicate the exact nature and duration of the contributions. For example, if you intend to furnish room and board, state

for how long and, if money, state the amount in U.S. dollars and whether it is to be given in a lump sum, weekly or monthly, and for how long.)

The example says this answer "N/A (K1 VISA PROCESS FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE)"

Hi meghan!

For the question 11, we wrote the exact same thing than on the example form. You should read this: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/438351-affidavit-of-support-form-i-134-question-11/

For the other question, I think you should put none and explain on another sheet that you currently not have a job so thats why you have a co-sponsor...
