My husband and I married back in 2012 and we are in ROC right now. We have been talking about bringing his daughters (11 & 8 yrs old) to the US. I have been reading and just wanted to get more "eyes" to look and see if I am correct in the process.

1) He LPR or (US Citizen) I petition for the girls (I-130) = $420 each

2) Once the I-130 is approved, we apply for their visa to come to the US = $320 each

3) After they arrive, we have to do the AOS process = $1040 for each one

Is this correct? Also, where does the I-864 come into play? What petition does this get submitted with?? Is there any difference in benefits to him or I petitioning?

August 11, 2014 - Packet delivered and signed for at 2:50pm
August 16, 2014 - NOA1 Received

September 9, 1014 - Biometric Appointment - 2pm - Fort Myers, FL
February 5, 2015 - Case transferred to California Service Center due to move to Texas.
March 30, 2015 - Card Production notice received.

hi

incorrect, they will go through consular processing and get the visa, there is nothing else to do, no AOS in the US, they will receive their GC in the US after they arrive

the waiting time is shorter if you file for them rather than if he were to apply

once the i130 and sent to the NVC, all the rest of payments, forms and documents for each are presented, including the i864.

2) Once the I-130 is approved, we apply for their visa to come to the US = $320 each

3) After they arrive, we have to do the AOS process = $1040 for each one No once you are approved at USCIS the petition gos to NVC where you pay the IV fee $320 each child and $120 for the Affidavit of Support (I-864) for both.

Is this correct? Also, where does the I-864 come into play? What petition does this get submitted with?? Is there any difference in benefits to him or I filing?
