Just got done with service request. They told me what I already knew. That Dallas is taking 10+ months. She did say that we are in line to be scheduled for interview but that she couldn't give me a timeframe. She also mentioned that I-400's were getting priority being that the government "wants voters". That's how she put it.

10/07/14 - Package (!-130, I-485, I-765, I-131 concurrent filing sent to Chicago Lockbox (Day 00)
10/10/14 - Package delivered and signed for (Day 3)
10/16/14 - Acceptance confirmation text messages/emails received (Day 10)
10/20/14 - Hardcopy NOA's for all forms (Day 14)
10/23/14 - Biometrics letter received in the mail - Appointment November 5 (Day 17)
11/05/14 - Biometrics done! (Day 30)
02/05/15 - EAD/AP Approved/ Card in Production

02/13/15 - EAD/AP Combo Received

08/07/15 - Interview notice was mailed to me (interview set for 9/10)

08/10/15 - Interview notice in mail (interview set for 7:00 am)

9/10/15 - Interview

9/10/15 - Card in Production email notice.

9/12/15: Texts and emails i-485 and i-130 approved on 9/10 and welcome notice sent

9/15/15 : Received Text and email update that card had been mailed 9/15. (No tracking)
9/16/15 : Received Text and email update that the card has been delivered (Tracking).

ya thats what i figured after looking at their processing time for the N-400 application, they were behind us now they are way far ahead of us. Looking at jeanF timeline, now I am expecting interview letter within august and interview in september. We at 9 months already, I guess we can do another 2 lol(like we have a choice).

This is so crazy!!!!!!! No other state takes so long for the interview. If I had known I would have NEVER filed in Texas, I would have moved to a different state just to get my green card. If they are short of employees and are overwhelmed, wouldn't be common sense to hire more employees and not make us wait for so long time?????

If they are short of employees and are overwhelmed, wouldn't be common sense to hire more employees and not make us wait for so long time?????

Its really crazy, waiting 10months is crazy.. I thought of the same thing but I thought I would only take like 7 months, this wait time is really hard, is the dallas field office getting lazy or what? God help us.

You might want to tell your friend to call the uscis customer service and ask them, as far as i know, it should be the date your approved, not the date you submitted the application.

He may have to send the card back so I would suggest he sort all his stuff out first, get a social/ drivers license cause you never know how long it will take to get the card back..

Well, I talked to him but he said it might not be an error. LoL he is just gonna take his chance to get the 10-year card earlier than others.

He could try however the N-400 kinda digs for a lot.. also just because the date is wrong on the card doesn't mean it's wrong in their database, it could just be an error in the part of the person in charge of printing. The consequences if caught lying are much too great I think, especially since the N400 has a bit that basically makes yku swear youre not lying or withholding information. But if he's willing to risk it best of luck.
