I would call you got approved the same day I did, so you'd think it would be there too. :)

I believe you need the new case number for DS-160 form, sometimes medical booking depending on country and it means you can then track your package to the embassy. :)

How long were you on hold for?

He was on hold for about 15minutes, but this was after he rang about 60 times and got the busy tone each time. When you ring you will prob get a busy tone. Hang up and ring again, keep doing this until you get through then you'll be on hold for a while.

Still waiting for NOA2 :( :(

I got my NOA2 October 15th, so this Wednesday will make it three weeks, if I don't get anything in the mail I'm going to try calling, though I hear that can be an incredible waste of time. From what I'm seeing while many people from September received their NOA2's, no one has heard anything from the NVC yet in mail form unless they've had the patience to call a million times and hope to get through. Basically in order to contact the embassy with specific visa questions, aka where can they get their medical done, you need to have that magical number the NVC assigns to you. Even though the embassy won’t be able to answer specific questions about your case since they don’t have the file, with that number you can get general answers. Mainly I want my fiancée to get the medical out of the way so if he has to wait to get that appointment it isn’t holding him up for the interview. Then it’s just filling out the forms and submitting everything. I also want to confirm what exactly the embassy wants me to send for the affidavit of support so I can ship that off in the mail and give it time to get down there. I hear FedEx is the most reliable for shipping documents internationally, does anyone have thoughts on that?

Me too...kinda sucks

Hmmmm... I can understand TSC filers still waiting but given your timeline your awaiting status is a strange one. Not sure why you haven't got yours yet, as being CSC and Philippines I'm shocked. Does the USCIS website say anything regarding your petition?

I really think that USCIS does have some sort of system where people get put in different piles. There never seems to be any rhyme or reason though.

That's the thing I just can't understand...almost every other application from the Philippines has been approved and I was so sure that my application was going to be one of them...then the days went by, then days became weeks and now it's been almost 2 months. I have checked the USCIS website as if it were my second job and it still says the same thing. I just don't get it....and if they are doing a background check on me...I will have to say that my background check would come back clean. So I don't understand and everytime I see another application from the Philippines approved at CSC--after 9/9 it's like taking a dagger straight into my heart. I'm starting to feel as if I will have to wait the entire 5-6 months for the noa-2. There was an NOA2 approval from the Philippines yesterday and it looked like they waited 5 months (with no RFE). I pray that this will not be the case for me because this is driving me crazy!

Yes exactly regardless of CSC or TSC it seemed to be the case that all petitions with beneficiaries in Philippines were being expedited regardless of them being affected or it being requested. And then you have it being CSC which you think would make it even more likely to be done. You poor things I can imagine how it feels :( sorry you having to wait, your still in the 5months that everyone expects when filing but my personal opinion and what I would do given what everyone else is experience regarding time frames, is ring them. I know it says wait out the processing time which is still marked at 5months for CSC I can't see it doing any harm, the worst your gonna get is nothing and you'll be where you at right now.

And it doesn't say anything on USCIS case status webcheck thingy? Just initial review?

Actually, my senators office here in Vegas reached out to USCIS and he was told that same old story-that I am still in the normal processing time and my file is being processed. I check the USCIS website almost everyday and it says the same thing....initial review. I even call the toll free number just to see whether the website is incorrect--but sure enough it's correct. Just the thought that I will have to wait the entire 5 months (which is 3 more months)--by the time I will get a chance to see my fiancé again it would have been close to 10 months. Had I known that the wait would be close to a spouse visa...I probably would have opted to the spouse visa. I'm so disappointed and disgusted with the entire USCIS process at this point. Thanks for listening.

I wonder what that system is...it can't be based on country....maybe by continent??!!? personally...I think that they just pile one file on top of the other and some of those workers at USCIS reviewing the files are faster than others or have a preference towards other countries. Unfortunately in my case...I guess the person reviewing my file is probably like..."oh another application from the Philippines. You can wait."? whatever the case is, this just sucks.
