TMZ released disturbing new footage Monday morning of Ray Rice punching his wife in an Atlantic City elevator, sparking a new round of outrage over the league's decision to suspend him for just two games, including some current and former players calling for him to be thrown out of the NFL altogether.

The new clip shows the actual Feb. 15 confrontation between the Baltimore Ravens running back and his then-fiancee. After entering the elevator in what looks like an argument, Ray Rice initiates contact. Janay Rice reacts physically, only to be hit with a devastating punch that leaves her unconscious. Rice then drags her limp body out of the elevator, which is where the previously released footage picks up.

He needs to be in jail.

I don't know what's worse. The fact he just now got released, the fact that originally he just got a slap on the wrist, the fact that jail time wasn't even factored in, or the sad fact she married him AFTER this.

Supposedly no one had access to this footage, including the police and the NFL, until now. I say bs, but we'll find out soon enough. The fact that she went and married him after speaks volumes of how many abused women find it hard to leave and remain in that cycle. Whether it was the money or not, it all very sad really.

I do too.

I think it's a very hard cycle to break.

don't forget the 'someone will sign him' too. you know they will. someone will need a rb to make the playoffs or depth to compete deeper in the playoffs & they'll sign him.

I doubt it Smoke, he's also banned indefinitely from the NFL. He may never see an NFL field again.

I don't. 2 other players were arrested for DV in the last week or so. Ray McDonald 49ers, Quincy Enunwa Jets.

so was Vick

Sad thing, Vick went to prison for killing dogs. Ray Rice beat his soon to be wife. What's wrong with this picture?

This sentence makes me hate everything.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

If not signed later this year, He will be on a new team next year. Time is an amazing thing.

Vick is back playing after his stunt.

It's sad that we hold killing dogs more reprehensible than beating a woman.
