Her B1 visa does not give her the right to employment in the US, nor does it give her the right to stay in the US for 10 years.

A '10-year B1 visa' means she can travel to the US on business, i.e. for meetings, closing deals, company training, etc, until her visa expires, during the next 10 years, without having to apply for a new visa.

She can apply for jobs in the US on a B1. She can not work in the US on a B1, would be up to her Employer to apply for the appropriate visa.

Practically no. In addition to what others said above, timeline for work visa application (H-1B being most popular) is way beyond max authorized stay on B-1 which is 6 months.

Have him/her read on what is allowed on B-1

If your friend seems to be under the impression that a 10-year B1 visa means she can stay in the US for 10 years.... she's mistaken. She needs to read up on what the B1 is.

It's not a working visa, and she can only stay in the US 'on business' (not working') for 6 months at a time.

If her employer in India wants to transfer her to a US office or whatever.....he needs to file for the correct visa for her.

Old and Grumpy....But an American Citizen!!!
