Hi

Just out of curiosity.... why didn't you apply together? I submitted my concurrent filing pack after you and my EAD is already in production stage. :/

According to the instructions, it takes up to 90 days to get it processed. Mine will take a little less than that, probably I will have it in two weeks.

Now, if you get approved for your green card, after your interview, you won;t need it anymore.

It is kind of surprising that you haven't been scheduled yet for an interview. You should call USCIS to find out.l

About expedite request, there are several threads on it. I was even on it, because I asked to expedite due to urgent financial situation. However, it was denied. Many members say that if you have a job offer pending it is more likely that it will be granted.

These are the criteria for expedite request: http://www.uscis.gov/forms/expedite-criteria

I don't think it's odd or surprising at all. We filed early July 2013, and our interview was late October 2013. All in all, 101 days for interview and approval. I would sit back and relax for another month, then contact USCIS. I wouldn't bother about filing an EAD this late in the game because the odds are that you'll get your GC before the EAD is approved (providing you are not here under Visa fraud/have filed correctly). I had EAD for a total of 37 days before it was invalid and the GC came into play. If it weren't free to file, I probably wouldn't have bothered.

But she needs EAD to apply for a state ID and/or DL so she can bring an valid ID to the interview, so her case is different for that matter.

:crying::( I wish I could give you a solution other than apply for EAD at this point of the game and wait for it, maybe looking for a job and ask for a job offer letter so you have it expedite? I don't know , I am sorry
