relevance of I 129f

Hi Vi Family

I had mentioned in my previous post about how the date of birth was wrongly entered in the I-129f .

1-I was wondering how relevant is the I-129f once the petition passes the NVC stage? Do they go over it at the Interview /POE/AOS ?

2-Would it be wise to mention it during the interview or just let it be since I don't want to give them a reason for refusal based on the clerical error.

Yes, you should absolutely mention it. It is also wrong on your passport? They will check.

Did you enter the wrong DOB or was it somebody at USCIS' fault? On the NOA1 it clearly instructs you to verify all of the information and notify them if the personal information listed is incorrect.

My fiance made a wrong entry of the DOB on the original I-129 f.

However the G325A and the DS 160, my passport all mentions the right DOB and also when we had called the NVC they also apparently have the right DOB on their system.

I am worried whether the error on the I-129f will have any repercussions down the lane

My fiance made a wrong entry of the DOB on the original I-129 f.

However the G325A and the DS 160, my passport all mentions the right DOB and also when we had called the NVC they also apparently have the right DOB on their system.

I am assuming the only information they had about foreign fiancee is on I-129F and G-325A documents.

Had they cross checked these two documents, they would have found the discrepancies

and wouldn't know which is the correct one, so they would have to issued a RFE for verification.

But since you already received NOA2 without RFE, and NVC confirmed the correct birth date,

it seems likely that they entered your bio information using the G-325A information

My fiancee received a copy of I-129F with additional information written on it

when she received the packet 3 letters from the embassy.

Check your birth date on this to see if they could have updated it to the correct one...

though I don't see how would have known your correct birth date.

I would also tell them up front at the beginning of the interview, and since you are required to

bring your passport, birth certificate, police certificate, etc., and they can easily verify

the correct birth date.

1-Oh I was not aware that they send a copy of I-129 f . From what I read they just sent you an email having a checklist of stuff you are supposed to bring in for the interview.

2- I am still unclear whether the i-129 f is referred back to, at any point such as POE or AOS
