Received EAD/AP card today...

and also received the written notice that the AP was re-opened.

Is the card still valid for AP ? The approval notice doesn't say it isn't..

-Jan 24th, 2014 sent in I-129F

-Jan 31ist, 2014 received NOA1 via text/email. Arrived at CSC

-Feb 4th, 2014 received Alien registration number.

-Feb 24th, 2014 received NOA2

-Mar 12, 2014 Arrived at Embassy

-Mar 20, 2014 Packet 3 sent to Embassy

-Mar 28, 2014 Received packet 3 instructions in mail

-Mar 25, 2014 Interview date set

-Apr 4, 2014 Interview.. approved :dancing:

-May 21, 2014 - PoE LV NV

-May 30, 2014 - Married

Just received notice on 01/09/2018 that my 10 year green card is being produced.   Does anyone know how to just update a phone number on USCIS?

We are still waiting with nothing whatsoever happening. It's so very frustrating to see people who've applied WEEKS after us get theirs so fast, without expediting. Very annoying. But I suppose I should be used to this... we filed Feb 1 for K1, and a boatload of people had their NOA2's long before us also. August 2nd might as well have been Sept 2, with as slowly as this is going. Booooooooooo. :ranting:

That said, I AM truly happy for those of you who are progressing and have your EAD/AP and interview appointments. We'll cheer for you every step of the way. :)

My interview is in less than 20 days and my EAD is still in initial review despite biometrics on sept 11!! Oh well, we are powerless in the way things are processed. Hope all of us still waiting get some good news this week! Hope those who have been processed are having luck in the job hunt!!

Have you guys contacted your congressperson for an expedite? if yes, then you should give them a call and get an update on your case. My congress rep called me with updates and forwarded emails with his communication with uscis.

I also found on some other forum that you can call FBI (Fingerprint Status (304) 625-2000 ) to check on your fingerprint status.

I have entered USA as an F1 student in December 2010 and have maintained my status ever since. In August 2013 I met my husband (L) . We got engaged in March 2014 (L) And married in July.

7/9/14 - Got married (L)

8/4/14 - Mailed I-130, I-485 and I-765 to Chicago lockbox

8/5/14 - Package delivered and signed by John

8/7/14 - Texts and emails with NOAs for I-130, I-485 and I-765. ~ Now I have case numbers I can go online 10 times a day and check!!!

8/13/14 - NOAs for I-130, I-485 and I-765 received in the mail. I have an alien number now.

9/2/14 - Biometrics done

9/8/14 - EAD approved!!! (expedited by the local congressman)

9/12/14 - EAD in hand!

Have you guys contacted your congressperson for an expedite? if yes, then you should give them a call and get an update on your case. My congress rep called me with updates and forwarded emails with his communication with uscis.

Hi Dashka, yes, we contacted our congressperson more than a month ago, and it's stalled there. We're at day 70 since NOA1. Guess who's NOT getting my vote?! lol ugh.

They may have just touched the box!! Finally.. Got an email saying address change on i765 upon research this apparently means it is approved and has moved to production facility? Hope this is so fingers crossed!!

Reporting from southern CA - as of 12 Sept (biometrics), there hasn't been any movement. It looks like the textbook answer/guidance is to wait 75 days from biometrics appointment before contacting uscis which means I should wait another month before going crazy. :)

I'm going to contact my Congressman to see if they can assist me in having my EAD expedited due to having a job offer. I know it seems a bit hit and miss with people as to wether it actually works or not but I guess there is no harm in trying.

Has anyone from us remaining August filers had any movement yet on their EAD/AP? Seems processing has stalled abit! ?

Check your case status today. I checked just now and the EAD card is ordered! Went from initial review to card production ordered. No movement on the AP though.. Good luck! And I totally agree, we got the short end of the stick. So many others who applied after use got theirs already.

8/9/14- Mailed I-485/131/765 (took a long time to get our Marriage Certificate)


8/15/14- notified via text and email that application was accepted on 8/12 and being processed.


9/8/14- Biometric done; 11/5/14- EAD/I-131 Approved/Card Production


11/5/14- AOS moved to testing/interview; 11/13/14- EAD/AP Combo card REC'D


12/16/14- AOS Interview- APPROVED! 1/3/15- Green card approved.

02/04/2014 After many months of waiting and frustration, FI finally got his birth certificate, passport and police clearance from his home country and we received an SMS today stating that his SA Police Clearance was finalized.

2/20/14- Second packet 3 sent to consulate


2/27/14 Followed up with Consulate to get interview date. They schedule an interview for 2/20 when he submitted the application of readiness (what we had to do to extend his NOA2) on 1/21, but they didn't notify us of that appointment, so we missed it.


3/27/14- Interview- APPROVED!!!


4/10/14- FI entered US via LAX and flew to SF 6/14/14- Civil Ceremony
