I'm at the point of just waiting to fill out the DS-260. Paid the fees already and sent packages

I'm not very familiar with recent timelines for a IR1/CR1, and hopefully somebody who knows will chime in. But as far as I know, most immigrant visa chasers would wait for the NVC letter first with their scheduled interview date and planned from there, as it may still take some time (could be several months) at NVC stage.

Unless you're 100% certain that you are nearing case complete soon, I personally wouldn't recommend that you take the medical in advance, knowing the visa validity is only 6 months from medical date.

It takes about 20 working days after receiving everything to issue the case complete. After that it takes about roughly 2-12 weeks to get the interview schedule depending if you hit or miss the scheduling cutoff date and how many cases are in the queue (you do get some priority being IR1/CR1 over say F2A's). The interview date they give you is usually a month away.

Based on the above, you're looking at an interview date 2.5 months from now(best case) or 4-5 months (worst case). If you do get a checklist, add a month to the estimates as the NVC takes the same 20 working days to review the checklist no matter how minor it was for. HTH

Btw does anyone know if my husband would need to take another I-864 with him to his interview, even tho I mailed one to the NVC.

Also, the DS-230 according to the list of documents for manila embassy interview, does he bring that? Or just the confirmation when DS-260 is completed?

And also heard that interviewers are asking for NSO advisory of marriages also?

Thanks for any help!

You need everything listed in the embassy instructions letter. What you gave NVC has nothing to do with USEM.

When you get your interview letter, there will be a index of documents and their various states.

As for the DS260, a printout of the completed form will suffice. We also had an extra copy of the I-864 just in case but the embassy didn't ask for it nor the DS260.

If you want to be safe side, then just get the CEMAR doc (it's only P400 online, cheap in the whole scheme of things)

Your so much welcome.,

I did mine before 2 weeks before my interview. But, if your worried you can go St Lukes and do it. Make sure to bring all your papers specially the interview letter.

Hi my fiance called NVC and provide him My MNL # over the phone, but i didnt receive email yet from NVC informing me about my MNL #. My question is will they email me with my MNL #? And another question who is going to email me the interview letter?

Sorry for all the questions im just worried.

Thank you.
