Hi all,

We've filed CR-1 from Singapore, but I am in Yangon right now. Currently, the visa center for my interview is Singapore Embassy. I would like to change the interview center from Singapore to US Embassy in Yangon. How long would it delay the process if I change it?

Thank you.

I requested that my file be transferred from Montreal to Vancouver. It took a month between the time i received confirmation in the mail from Montreal, and then asking them to change it, to receiving mail confirmation from Vancouver. So yeah about a month delay. Hop on it right away and ask Singapore to change it and cc Yongon for good measure.

Good luck!

hi ninadrlanna,

Thanks for the reply. I'm calling NVC to get this things done as quickly as possible since we are on the stage before the interview. Hopefully things work out well :)

Likely isn't NVC that can help you at this stage, it's the actual embassies. Contact them directly.

For the OP who is going through the CR1/IR1 process, they need to contact the NVC BEFORE the case is sent to the embassy.
