Hello I am a newbie on VJ I just mailed off my I 130 and forgot to add the paper where they send you confirmation in the email OMG I am so nervous on how will I know if it was accepted? so mad at myself I am here in the states as the petitioner and my husband is in Ghana depending on me to get things right and now I forget to add the email confirmation paper to the packet, Is that very important to have or did I mess up?

Hey guys! We sent in the I-130 on July 3rd. We received NOA1 on July 8th and it was transferred the Vermont Service Center! I've been trying to refrain myself from checking everyday on our status but by the end of the day I always end up checking at least once haha

So I'm due to see my husband in England in a couple of months. I just wondered, are there any documents that needs his signature which I will eventually have to send later on? If there is, I might as well get it done and save on postage.

We're doing what we can to get ready for the NVC stage of the process.

We haven't done much though. We're stuck on getting the long form of his birth certificate. He's got the short version and can't figure out how to get the other one or if there *is* another one.

That's kind of why we started now. Just in case things like that came up, that might take longer to get than we anticipated. (lol now I'm glad that we did) I'm getting all my tax papers and building a stash of pay stubs in the meantime as well.

Hey everyone.

My wife and I were talking last night about doing a family visit in the US for her parents 40th anniversary, but we were thinking about if/what are the travel restrictions placed on me (beneficiary) since our I-130 has been filed. Does anyone know?

Btw, we both live in Canada together and are employed.

Received my NOA1 today and routed to Nebraska Service Center. I read somewhere in the forums that the NSC is one of the slower processing times. Any truth?

There's no telling how fast or how slow each service centers are. There are times when they are fast and some time when they are slow. Guess it depends on the workload. But from what I've been reading Nebraska is speeding up these days. 5 months is their processing time according to the USCIS website. Seen some February filers being approved already. ;)
