Hi everyone,

My name is Ben, I live in Lagos, Nigeria, my wife is my petitioner, she is a an American citizen, the first time I attended my interview on July, 2, 2013, I was refused under 221g and our petition was returned back to USCIS and after we submitted the neccessary missing documents it was re approved and another appointment date was issued to us on June 17, 2014. During my interview at the embassy the Consular Officer did not check all of my documents he only asked me that..Do u have your wedding pictures here? which I did and he later gave a contact form to fill, the form contains information of me, my wife, my relatives, neighbour and friend, after filling and returning the form back to him, he went inside, he later came back and gave me a white paper and also returned my passport back to me. He said please u need to give us more time for administrative processing.

This is what was on the white paper he gave me:

Dear Applicant,

Your case requires additional administrative processing, we will contact by email or phone as soon as the administrative process is complete. Please do not return until we have contacted you. If you have not heard from us withing 60days of your original interview date. Please send and email to ask for an email to LagosIV@state.gov and request an update.

You may return at 1:00 pm on the day u are re invited after the administrative processing is complete.

what is the evidence of marriage did you send to immigration also please tell me how long you know your wife

Thanks so much for your responce. I have known my wife for over 2 years and we got married here in Africa on March 9 2012. Yes we send our evidence to immigration cos I was given a blue 221g at the embassy the first time I was interviewed.

the officer he was asked you about picture of marriage .did you show him ? they tell you the reson why they send the file back to the usics ?and when they send the file back the usics what they ask for ?

They probably want nto find out if you had a wedding that was culturally appropriate, and whether her and your family was there.

Are you of the same religion and similar ages?

Yes I showed him the pictures and he said I should fill a form, which I also did and he later told me that I should please give them more time for administrative processing.

We are both Christians but not of the same age...she is older than i am

but why the first interview they dont give u visa and send the file back to usics ?

really like what i know if you have big proof like u meet his family and u talk everyday and letters from his family and he never been in trouble like jail .mybe soon he get visa after the AP

I have not met any of my wife family but I do speak with her mother once in a while, I have received a letter of support from her mum and her friend. I have never been jailed bfor and my wife too has never been jailed before...We truly love each other. I miss her soo much

yes but the immigration when they got file did they ask you about somthing to send them ? sometime if your wife very old like diffrent of age like 30years diffrent they think that u are married her just for green card or somthing like that . why her mom she didnt write a letter that her dauther she is in a relation with u it help these things sometime .but the reson exactly why i dont know because sometime they make people crazy officers

18 years difference. .no she is not with me yet.
