How to get a U.S criminal record check

Hi there,

After looking through the packet received by the U.S consulate in Ireland it says that I need a criminal records check for every country I have lived in 12 months or more. I lived in the US for 12 months on a prior visa. So I will need to receive a record check for the U.S correct? Or do they do that? If so, I have researched how to obtain a copy of my records but have found nothing. Can anyone help us with this?

The following line does say something about not getting a police cert for time spent in the US...mine did anyway.

Of course if you have a conviction in the US of any sort you'll need proof and details of that.

You do not need a police certificate from the US.

Dont ever worry about getting police certificate record from the US. They have already looked over ur criminal records before giving u approval. Hope it helps. I WAS IN SAME SHOES I WAS in the US as an international student for over 9 yrs and wondered if I need to get that done frok FBI Which I thought It would take forever!!

You do not need a police certificate from the US.

There is no such thing. The background checks handle this part.
