You don't get an email...you have to call them. NVC is notoriously bad about sending you info. You have to CALL THEM!!!

They do send out an email stating your Case Number and Invoice ID Number but you can get both by simply calling.

However, you should be on the look out for the DS261 here https://ceac.state.gov/CEAC/ because that's the start of your process with NVC.

Our entire processing of our CR-1 has been by email -- well, except for document submission.

We sent an email to nvcinquiry@state.gov with the subject Enroll NVC Case Number

IN the body of the email we included:

USCIS Case Number - (You should be able to put your MCN Number)

Petitioner’s Full Name

Petitioner's email address:

Petitioner’s Date of Birth:

Beneficiary’s Name:

Email address:

Date of Birth:

Country of Birth:

Beneficiary's foreign address:

Phone numbers of Beneficiary:

All our notifications from that point on were via email, including our appointment letter.

September 28, 2013 -- Married at Ciudad Christa resort in Metro Manila

January 2, 2014 -- NOA1

February 10, 2014 -- NOA2

February 26, 2014 -- Sent to NVC

March 5, 2014 -- Received at NVC

July 8, 2014 -- Appointment at Embassy -- APPROVED!
