   If he can't be flexible/intelligent enough to even get these documents to you, you may want to consider what the coming years/decades might have in store....

My interview would be on Monday June 09, 2014 at USEM Manila. Now we have a problem. On the P4 that the NVC sent me Financial Evidence is marked as "I". NVC told me I need to re-submit I-864 of my hubby and our joint sponsor. Only 1 page has a minimal error but NVC told me I need to re-submit all the corrected I-864 forms to the Consul during the interview. My husband mailed the corrected I-864 forms last May 06, 2014 and until now the forms didn't come yet. He mailed them through USPS. We're worried because its more than 3 weeks now and the documents are not still around. I've been checking them through our local post office here but still they're not there. 5 days to go before the interview and the papers are not yet around. We're afraid that they are lost huhu. Our joint sponsor is in Hawaii now for a vacation, he'll be back on June 10 but my interview date has already pass then.

Please help us what to do. Thanks guys.

Have him IMMEDIATELY FedEx you another set of the documents! Why in the world would anyone mess around with the post office with something absolutely mission-critical?

I am always astonished by this sort of thing. I mean, really? Isn't there enough that can go wrong without inviting problems?

He can't send a new set of documents. The joint sponsor is on vacation in Hawaii and will not be back until after the interview is past. Let's try to be a little more feeling for the OP. Sure anyone can make a mistake but why be so mean about it? Good luck to the original poster. I hope it all works out for you guys in the end. God Bless

I don't think I was mean, I think I was direct. Of course I hope it works out for the OP, particularly since it isn't her fault her husband is messing up and being lax. I do find it absolutely flabbergasting that anyone who, you know, wants to be with their spouse would just shrug and hope the mail will land in time for their spouse's interview. When I think of my obsession with planning, detail, over-documenting, and timing so I could be with my wife and son....

It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure there's a page that has to be signed with an original signature of the petitioner. However, the other pages could be scans....

That would be correct.

We did argue about this many times & I did blame him for not listening to me. But for now all we need to do is find a solution cause there's no point in blaming him since its already done. We're just praying that everything will be ok by God's grace.

...quite the contrary ... maybe the gentleman does not have he financial resources and lives his life within his means ... I can respect that .... and all he has to do is to send it again and re-schedule the interview ... not the end of the world.

Hey,

If your husband made copies, he can scan and send them to you. You can bring the copies to the interview and explain to the CO that the originals will be with you soon.

As someone mentioned, the worst that may happen is, they will give you a slip and ask you to send them in when you receive them.

Your husband is a fortunate guy to have such an understanding wife with a great attitude, even in the face of a challenging situation.

Years from now when you tell others and maybe your children the story of how you came to America, you two can share a laugh about how he didn't listen to you and caused extra stress over lost documents. :)
