You know how one topic of conversation leads to another?

Wes and I were driving into town today, and at this auto dealership there is this 20 foot high inflatable gorilla - he's wearing a pair of green knickers. It's pouring down the rain and my husband makes some comment about wet underwear. Which leads to a conversation about wet t-shirts and wet t-shirt contests. I ask and he assures me that there are such competitions in Ireland, especially at coastal areas in summertime. Which leads to me wondering about what qualifies one to be the winner of a wet t-shirt contest......

ANYWAY.............

We got to wondering about plastic surgery around the world. I have LOADS of girlfriends who have had their boobs done. And face-lifts are getting to be more commonplace as well. Pedro once told me that plastic surgery is common in Mexico.

So just how commonplace is plastic surgery around the world?

I don't think I know anyone who has had work done.

Very popular in Egypt and throughout the Middle East. Lots of the Pop stars are trying for more Western look (nose reductions, lol) but the big boobs . . . quite popular. Go figure. But since I found out about skin lightening creams (Fair and Lovely) being offered to get that "lighter" more popular look for a woman, I guess I shouldn't be surprised to find out that they want surgery too.

I know ppl that travel from the States to Egypt to get eye lifts, etc done as it is relatively cheap compared to here.

I saw a report on TV that mentions India as a place to get inexpensive but good plastic surgery (not just plastic surgery is offered). Seems that there are lots of U.S. trained doctors that have gone home to offer these services. I think you can find travel packages that offer everything including your surgery.

:o Wow, it's amazing to me that people would want to change the color of their skin, go figure. I guess Michael Jackson is a walking poster for skin lightening gone wrong, because what color would you classify Michael Jackson as??? Black, white, or none of those listed  ???

As for plastic surgery, it is commonplace here in Ohio. They even have medspas where you can get tweaked (meaning botox, restylin, collagen, chemical peel etc), when you don't feel like you need to go under the knife.

If you think you don't know anyone who's had anything done, they probably just had a good surgeon. I haven't had anything done yet, but I might with age. I would do it in Brazil, too.

Yep, they certainly do have 'wet t shirt competitions' in Ireland and the UK. I actually won one for my region back when I was 18! It was sponsered by the Adult Chanel and they toured the country going into nightclubs holding these competitions. They had an open shower on stage and you get in there with a white t shirt and panties on and strut your stuff! The winner is the person that gets the most cheers .... and it was me! Ha! I shouldnt be disclosing my wild sordid past! lol

Most ####### jobs look fake. We had a woman model for us in Life Drawing back in college who had a ####### job - nothing extreme - maybe a B cup? Anyhow, the problem is they didn't move...at ALL. If she did a lying down pose they looked the same, or leaning over ...just like 2 balloons. IMO, they should move like the rest of our bodies - a little gravitational pull is sexy.

Just wait until you see 'gravitational pull' at age 49 and then you'll understand why a ####### job is high on MY wishlist!!!
