I need help! On the CFO website it says you'll need a valid Passport plus two government issued IDs for the seminar

My fiancee is about to take her CFO seminar and only has the following:

1. Passport

2. NBI Clearance

3. Birth Certificate

Will these three items suffice as the ID requirement? She doesn't have any other IDs and I'm worried that birth certificate isn't a photo ID.

Thanks!

You are correct birth certificate won't work as it is not a photo ID, but you are fine with the passport and NBI as both have photos.

Even if you have a passport they will still require you to provide two valid photo id's because the passport is one of the requirements. I used Postal and Philhealth IDs, you can get those in just a day. NBI will be considered too.

In case this applies to anyone, foreign government ID is acceptable too. Candy used her Hong Kong ID as #2. She was ready with an NBI if needed, but they accepted the Hong Kong no problem.

And they accepted my expired passport as my passport bio page. Hank already told me that they would, and he was right. As I explained back then, I have no interest in foreign travel until Candy has her green card or AP and can go with me, so I am in no hurry to renew my passport.

Thanks so much everyone! I feel confident for my fiancé to use her Passport and NBI :)

Hank,

On a related note, I was reading your site about the CFO process. You mention that if you're 21 - 24 there is an Advise form which could be asked of you. Is this something we should have prepared and brought to the CFO seminar? I'm a little concerned as my fiancés Mother lives in Leyte and it might not be so easy for her to sign and send the paperwork back. Thanks for all your help!

Sometimes CFO asks for it, sometimes they don't... no rhyme or reason to their madness. I find it partly depends on how your fiancee presents herself, if she is self-assured and confident kind of woman they may skip right past it. Seems they pick on the meek type more then others. Just the same it would suck for them to ask for it and not have it. Man that almost sounds like a politician - yikes!

Got it, well that makes sense. My fiancé is a little shy, so better be prepared :) So what I'm hearing is I should have it ready, filled out, and signed by her mother before attending the CFO seminar?

Never a dull moment! Lol.

Also get a copy of the mother's ID, postal ID will work fine.

Hank sorry to keep throwing questions at you :) ... but as I'm preparing the affidavit of parental advice, I noticed the sample links (Quezon City) from your site are no longer working. I think I'm all set for the affidavit of parental advice, as I've found some other ones online, but I recall there also being a sworn statement that my fiance has sought parental advice (Form 7), and I'm having trouble finding another example.

Do I need that sworn statement if I already have the notarized affidavit of parental advice? Also would you have another sample you can provide? Thanks so much!

Sorry the link is not working, I will have to see check into it, I don't have any other resource on that but will check into it an get that fixed.

I don't know that you need anything from your fiance, just you, so you should be fine if you have it handled.
