When did this site begin, who started it, obvious as to why. Just wondering.

I think I remember a Visa Journey store long ago... I know there was at least talk of one. Something is telling me there WAS one. Maybe our StarWars friends can come in and give us a little more insight?

I remember that Steve was the moderator when I first joined VJ. I actually was a lurker many months before I joined back in the day when I was reading on the internet about "how to" do the K-1/K-2.

There was a lawyer that used to post on this site to drum up business and answer a few questions. He began to raise issues about the legality of some of the advice given in the forums and whether it constituted practicing law without a license. It was about that incident and that timeframe that Steve disappeared from the scene. If I remember correctly, that was the main reason he left. I have no idea if he is still active on the site in the persona of the Star Wars characters.

My memory fails me, but I believe that Steve's wife is from Singapore and that is where the server is located for VJ. I remember that Steve had a picture of himself and his wife on his avatar when he posted.

Anyway, maybe some of the members that have been here longer than me have a better memory.
