Hi!

My number is 2015AS000018XX. Just filled out the DS-260 form. I had a couple of quick questions:

i) I was wondering when I would get the interview date. Is it the date that is written on the Visa bulletin? - That means I am looking at having my inteview around October/November?

ii) When do I need to gather all the documents by? - marriage certificate and all that?

iii) The health checkup... Does that happen before the interview?

iv) when can I expect to get a visa to travel to the states?

v) How good are my chances? Are there any reason that they'd reject my application (if I have not falsified any document/detail)?

Thanks,

Mike

you can check http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/law-and-policy/bulletin.html it will give you a idea of when your number may be called based on previous years. Then you will know how much time or when you can start preparing the documents and medicals needed.

Once you have truthfully completed the ds-260, have the education or work experience to back it up and the additional documents/medicals Your chances are good as 50/50 because its up to the consular officer to determine that. I don't believe anyone can say for certain that you will be successful or anyone will be successful

1 your guess is about right - it is done by case number order and announced by the VB.

2 you will need those at the interview. Get them now although time your police certificate and medical to be, available a shorter time before the interview (as they can have an expiritation date)

3 Yes you schedule that a couple of weeks before the interview.

4 at the interview they will keep your passport and return it to you a few days later with the visa stamped.

5 as long as you qualify and have the documents and havent told any inaccuracies you will get the visa. It is very straightforward.

Really good number. November or December this year.

How did I decide this? Look here

For October Asia has 1,800 next to it. That's too low. Scroll down a little. Asia is 2,500. Yes you're under the cutoff in November.

I say November or December because 2,500 is pretty close to your number.

* If you are from Nepal or Iran the above may not apply. They limit countries that are close to 7% of entries.

Hi,

Thanks for the post, I was selected as well, and I'm excited to know/guess my interview date :D

And I couldn't come out with a single information in the VISA Bulletin, it's a bit confusing, if you may help me on how to work with it I'll be thankful.

I'm from Sudan, and I'm living in Saudi Arabia, my number is: 2015AF0008xxxx

Thanks in advance.

I'd say August/September 2015 based on last year's results. You may not make it if it is in the late 80,000s. Last year the cut off number was 81,100.

Hmm, Thanks for the reply my dear. Lets hope that I'll make it :| my number is 81xxx

May I know if these numbers are random or is it based on the time of filling the https://www.dvlottery.state.gov/ form??

My CN is 2015AF00004*** Africa, Ghana. U didn't submit my DS-260 early. I submitted it in July 2014 but asked for a re-open in August, made few corrections and re-submitted it in the same August.

1. When I'm I likely to be called for interview?

2. Do they consider the Confirmation numbers or the dates if submissions? First come, first serve?

3. We are couple will that also delay my process?

4. After they have called u for interview will they give u another opportunity to make any changes on the DS-260 form?

Thanks for being so helpful.

hello everyone

plz im so paranoid

this is my number : 2015AF00027XX3

im from morocco ,

i wanted to guess when my interview could be but i didnt know how

1 . can anybody explain to me how to guess ?

2. and also i wanna know if the KCC or the EMBASSY send u an email telling when is ur interview (date and time )? if they do , is there enough time to get all the documents ???

plz plz i need u guys

thanks a lot

Stop being paranoid. :)

Start collecting your documents now, all except the police certificate (as they usually have an expiry date) and medicals (as they also expire and anyway you usually need to have an appointment scheduled before the panel doctor will see you).

KCC will send you an email telling you there is an update to the ESC page (same website you checked before). The new letter will be on there with details of your interview. This will probably arrive 6-8 weeks before your interview. Enough time to get the police certificate and medical done.

Your number is relatively low. The only way to guess is look at previous years. Last year your number would have interviewed in April.
