Spouse or K1? Advice Please.

I'm not sure if this is new but we are confuse on which type of visa to use.

Set-up is like this : Me and my fiance met online and we have 15 years age gap. I'm working outside my own country and he's in NJ. Our relationship's a year and so already and we're both planning to go on my home country and get married then go back to the country where i am working and so is he. Basically, we would still live apart and we don't have any joint accounts or anything which is needed for the spouse visa. Plus we only have our skype logs, emails, pictures together, hotel where we stayed, would that be enough? We're just wondering which visa would be a good fit for us because we don't want to live apart for so long. We need some advice please. we need some help.

Married, you only have one option. CR1 takes about a year.

However, I've read a couple of articles on getting a spouse visa and they require a joint account or something you both have. and we don't have any of that since after our "planned" wedding, I'll go back to the country where I am working and he would also go back to the US.

Accounts are an example of things you CAN use, not MUST use... If you don't have that, use other proof you do have (plane tickets, receipts together, Skype and chat logs, photos together etc... Majority couples will not have joint accounts.

K1 visa is faster but more expensive CR1 is longer, but get GC IMMEDIATLY. If getting married overseas is more important then CR1 ... If marriage in USA is OK, then K1

Thanks Chisteen and Boiler. But more questions please, do you think they would ask alot of evidence or proofs because of our age gap? and i've heard that we also need greeting cards and packages sent to each other. would that be necessary? and do we also need to show the site where we first meet and our chats before our relationship? and what's the maximum timeline for the CR1 process would it take 1-2years?. 12-15 months now... You NEED to have any specific thing... The checklist is just a list of things that CAN be used... Not that MUST... Not everyone will have everything on the list. Quality evidence and evidence of time spent together always trumps any other evidence. Don't manufacture evidence just for evidence sake... That looks suspicious. Be prepared to answer about the age gap, but just be honest as to why it is not an issue in your relationship and you will be fine
