Hello!

My questions are.....

When do biometrics happen? My DH is in Ireland trying to accomplish everything possible as soon as possible.

Can he do biometrics in advance or do we need packet 3 first?

Also, does anyone know an approximate schedule for the steps after NOA2 which we have not yet received for i129f or i130? Example like noa2, then 4-6 weeks to packet 3, then 4-6weeks to interview from 'readiness'.? I can't find where biometrics fit in.

And lastly, if my k3 is changed to a cr-1, do I need to prepare anything differently in advance?

Sorry if these questions have been answered, I've searched everywhere and can't find them.

I've got 2 young girls who need their daddy! Any info is greatly appreciated!

When do biometrics happen? At Interview

Can he do biometrics in advance or do we need packet 3 first? No. Also same for medical you have to wait for inbterview letter .

Here is your Embassy info page here http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Ireland&cty=Dublin

Also, does anyone know an approximate schedule for the steps after NOA2 which we have not yet received for i129f or i130?

That’s a hard question to answer because its all dependent on what gets approved and what gets closed. Lately some I-129F’s have gotten through to embassy but most get closed.

If your I-130 gets approved it goes to NVC takes 4 to 8 weeks to get a case number and than you can start . See the NVC Process Wiki in my signature so you can read all about the NVC process.

And lastly, if my k3 is changed to a cr-1, do I need to prepare anything differently in advance? Read the NVC process wiki this will probably be your likely course also I would be following the NVC filers thread. Good info there also.

One more quick query.....

Do spouses have to attend the interview in Dublin, Ireland?

Is it left to the discretion of the consulate or is it case by case?

No they do not have to. Yes spouse can attend . You decide whats best some like the support others not so much.

Previous replies are correct. Ireland is pretty nice and easy going, but they are sticklers for correct documentation, so make sure all forms are filled our in detail.

Ireland does not require your USC spouse to be there, but they can if they want (the waitingroom and where the interview is is essentially the same place... think bank lobby where you talk at the counter through a glass).

Bye: Penguin

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
