Setting Appointment for Interview at the US Embassy in Philippines

Does anyone know the best way to get the interview scheduled for the K1 in the Philippines? I am told i have to wait until they US Embassy releases dates? So if someone has all day to ping the website or constantly phone the embassy, is this the only way to get an appointment? There has to be an easier way, I even wrote a letter to them discussing my parents ailing health, but no response. Any suggestions?

Check it every day. Slots are at a premium now so when they open up they don't last too long.

Create an account here https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?language=English&country=Philippines and schedule an appointment. Once signed in you can see the earliest available date but make sure you pick a date where you are sure that the physical file is already at the US embassy in manila.

What POA said is what I did. From the time I scheduled an appointment, earliest was in 2 months. I tried calling to check for an earlier date but the agent said I need to cancel my current appointment to see if there are any available earlier dates. Did not took the risk

Just keep logging in to the site and it will show up the earliest available date on the left side(sometimes it shows sometimes not). Then you can cancel and resched.

If you can set a date 2 months from today, that is actually good. Grab that date before it goes away.

If ealier dates open up down the road you are allowed to reshedule up to 2 times, but be warned that you would have to cancel your date before grabbing the new one, and if someone is waiting in the wings, you could end up losing both dates.

Currently there are no opening available, except for the random date showing from time to time, there are many that are waiting for the embassy to release the July calendar.

Best way to schedule your appointment is online, calling will not get you any different result and takes longer - they look at the same information you see online. Keep checking your dashboard, watch to the left side of the screen that is where the first available appointment when show when there is any.

Thanks everyone I truly appreciate the input. One more question Al422 may have captured on, "set a date". I remember filling out a preferred date (?) Does that omit me from future dates if I put in a date in June? You guys are awesome!! Thanks again!!!

By "set a date" he was referring to grabbing an appointment a couple months out, then keep watching for an earlier date to show up and grabbing it.
