what else can we do while we wait for the approval letter?

Pretty much just wait. I save my conversations with my husband. We hardly email, mostly use chat apps like whatsapp so I feel it might be important to keep a backup of them for when they ask during the interview process.

I've also pretty much just been reading a lot on the documents required at every step. I don't think you can get the police certificate or medical examination done ahead of time so there's not much to do for now.

What's your priority date?

We saved a copy of our chat from Skype, from a computer not hand held device. Printed out only four months of chat which was over 100 pages. Follow your lawyers advice, piss him off and you have another group who may slow you down just because... Me, I was going that route but family said no, just fill out paper work since you never filled before. No trouble in your past nor theirs. Give them every thing they ask for and what ever they say is optional. It alleviates the RFE since now you sent in all that information ahead of time.

BTW - Approved at Nebraska Center in 18 days. How ever NVC sent me a notice they were extending the 30 days to 60 days due to so many requests coming in. Don't be surprised when you get bogged down at NVC...

Yeah you can do that, or I think Skype saves conversations for up to 90 days as well.. I would print them out every few days or like every week.

I email myself the whatsapp conversation daily after we're done talking for the day. I use Tango for the voice/video chat and it shows the date, time and the length of the call. I'll print that out as well.

I think these things will be asked of the beneficiary, so I'll just have a packet ready and send it to my husband before his interview date comes.

One of my cousin's had 4000 pages of viber conversations.

Hi all!! Im in the us and my husband is in the DR. We got our NOA1 May 06 from the Vermont processing center. Heres to hoping for a fast NOA2 :)

Nebraska seems to be working on both February and early March at the same time, but there are quite a few December/January filers that haven't been approved yet. It's all a little confusing right now. I think everyone that filed during the last two weeks of February got transferred to California and Texas in the beginning of July (so those are no longer at NSC, and that should speed things up). A new batch of transfers seems to have started yesterday, this time for people who filed during the last week of March and the first week of April. I got the transfer email yesterday, but I don't know where yet. I'm not sure what's going on at NSC right now but hopefully the transfers will speed things up for everyone.

My guess is that the ones in Dec/Jan are going through the "additional background checks" for whatever reason, though I've seen a couple of approvals for March and some of April are being transferred, so expect May in the next few weeks......hopefully.

Mar 2014 - Married

5/7/14?? - Attorney mailed paperwork

5/15/14 DHS cashed check

5/19/14 - NOA1 received with PD 5/12/14

10/17/14 - NOA2 received

10/28/14 - Email received that file has been sent to NVC

11/13/14 - NVC received file

12/10/14 - NVC Assigned case number

12/12/14 - AOS Fee Invoiced

12/13/14 - Submit email to NVC to remove attorney as DS-261 Agent

12/16/14 - AOS Fee showing as Paid

12/17/14 - IV Fee invoiced

12/20/14 - IV fee available and paid

12/27/14 - DS-260 submitted

1/2/15 - AOS and IV packages sent to NVC

1/5/15 - USPS delivered packages to NVC

1/7/15 - NVC scanned in packages. Let the countdown begin...

1/30/15 - FINALLY got a reply to my email to remove the attorney from the DS-261

3/9/15 - Called NVC and they have checklisted us for an "incorrect" decree absolute from the UK, even though it is the legal official document. Have requested a supervisor review.

4/28/15 - Called and NVC said supervisor had reviewed and now claimed that the decree absolute was not included. After disagreeing with the less than helpful lady on the phone, and her not being able to get the review time right. (She kept changing her story between 42 days and 30 days).

4/30/15 - Sent the same copy of the decree absolute to the NVC from the UK, highlighting the "decree absolute" wording with a letter stating that this is the only document provided by the UK government.

5/6/15 - Scan date for checklist received.

6/5/15 - Case complete!!!

6/12/15 - Called and interview is scheduled for July 1!

6/14/15 - Received email with interview date and instructions.

6/19/15 - Case showing as ready on CEAC.

7/1/15 - Approved at interview!!!

7/6/15 - CEAC changed to Administrative Processing

7/7/15 - CEAC changed to Issued!!!!!

7/10/15 - Passport and packet delivered!

7/29/15 - Husband entered with visa at Dallas/Fort Worth airport

9/29/15 - GC delivered!!!

5/4/17 - ROC packet sent via USPS

5/17/17 - Check cashed

5/19/17 - NOA1 received with date of 5/8/17

Im at the very end of may! Hoping for an approval by the middle of September.

I would guess that ppl who need more evidence send in would be placed in the back and us keep moving forward.

May 5th. Yeah that's what makes sense, let's see. Though USCIS last week told me my 5 months would be October so expect it then but I know many people have gotten it earlier. A friend of mine got her approval letter after 3 months.

I hope. I know some ppl from his country said the whole process took them 6-7 months to complete then some other people said it took them 14-18 months to complete. It seems like there were no inbetweens to the people we have talked to. He is from the same country that I was born in I just came to the United States through my parents/
