Proper attire for an interview

Hi all, my wife and I are scheduled to have a green card interview next week. I was just wondering what would be a proper attire for this occasion. For those of you who have already gone through this process, I'd appreciate any feedback. I am thinking of wearing business casual (no suit or tie) but then heard from another source that we should wear as if we are going for a job interview. Would wearing a suite and tie be overdressing? How about for a woman? Thanks!

Hi good luck with your interview ☺ as what to wear when we went for our interview we dressed as if going for a job interview, but that was our choice to do so, as long as you look comfortable but presentable at the same time that's ok. Just be your selves.

Just look neat and presentable. I have seen people at the USCIS office waiting for an interview completely dressed up (full on suit attire) and also those dressed pretty casually. My husband and I went down the middle and dressed business casual, nice shirts and pants, no jeans. Wear what you personally feel comfortable in.

Job interview. I wore suit and tie and wife wore slacks, blouse and a sweater. I wear a suit everyday so it was my normal uniform. Good luck.

Doesn't matter too much, in my opinion. If I've paid $3-4k+ for this process and played good the whole time, I'll be damned if I'm going to let the government dictate how I dress.
