Info to send with Packet 3

I know I've been posting a lot on VJ recently, but I have just one more question for our amazing community.

Our case was just sent to NVC on April 24, but I'm trying to think ahead to when it is sent to Phnom Penh, because whatever I need to send to my fiance could take quite a while to reach him, even with reliable post like DHL.

I know I need to send him to the Embassy with more proof of our ongoing relationship, or something to establish our relationship together.

However, we already sent SO much information and proof in with the original petition, (3 inches thick and 3 pounds heavy), I really am having trouble thinking of what additional information I could possibly send him.

I know I'll send him a complete copy of the original version of our petition we sent to the Dallas Lockbox which contains:

Hotel, grocery store, mall and market receipts,

my bank account statements showing purchases of plane tickets to Cambodia and purchases during stays in Cambodia

Copies of all my boarding passes to visit him

Copies of all our passport pages showing my trips to visit him and trips we took together

20 or so pictures together

Close to 20 letters from friends and family showing their support

48 pages of selected FB conversations

57 pages of our FB timeline

48 pages of phone records showing every call I've made to Cambodia since 2012

Ticket stubs from fun things we've done (and submitted pictures of us doing) like museum and art gallery visits, trips to the ballet and so on.

What else could I possibly send? Due to the Cambodian postal system, we cannot write letters back and forth. And all we really have to show our ongoing relationship is more FB conversations, more phone records and maybe a few short Skype calls (Skype is hard to use where he is in Cambodia because the video doesn't always work with his slow connection)

I think you have way more than enough information. The pictures as well as the boarding passes etc is perfect. I don't think there is really a need to have that much of pages of conversations. I know I never sent any conversations that we have had. I sent mine and hers boarding passes, visa stamps, itineraries, pictures and also did up a letter that we both signed of the date we started dating etc.

for the interview, I'd send just a sampling of stuff SINCE you applied for the K1.

Same here, I thought about sending in some printed out conversations but I knew that these things are secondary evidence. All we sent was photos, boarding passes, passport and visa stamps, hotel receipt and that's it.

I personally am not comfortable with sending our conversations as I think that is just personal and I certainly don't want strangers reading our convos regardless of what they might say on them.

For the K1 petition I simply photocopied mine and her boarding passes, itineraries, both of our visa stamps, 2 pictures of us together and a few miscellaneous train tickets.

For her interview for an on going relationship I printed out all of my phone calls that I made to her, ordered 40 photos of us together and also made a photocopy of the engagement ring receipt as well as my yearly bank statement of all of the tickets etc I have bought. I am also going to do up a statement for us both to sign solemnly swearing that we have been in an on-going relationship since (date here) and that should be more than plenty. The conversations thing is just absurd and not sure why anyone would want there convos read by a stranger lol

Some countries are considered "high fraud" and Cambodia may be considered one. If your fiance is coming from one, then it's pretty imperative that you really cover all bases since several people on this website have been denied a K1 visa simply because the interviewer didn't "feel" like the relationship was real. Finland isn't a high fraud country, so what you are sending for the interview is likely fine.

Mostly for FB conversations, I just picked samples from each month (if I had sent everything, it probably would have been over 1,400 pages) I only sent the small talk, such as, "Hi honey! How was your day, and such." I just wanted to be sure we had enough evidence. I don't think you have to worry too much. Finland is pretty awesome and loved by the U.S. from what I can tell. Cambodia is awesome (in my humble opinion) but not so loved.

I didn't feel they needed to read our special, sweet stuff either. Just because they want us to spread out our life together in document form, doesn't mean I am gonna give them everything we've talked about. Something are just between me and my sweetheart. (particularly when I practice typing in Khmer. No one needs to see such embaressing grammar. _

Hey! You're right! Cambodia is considered high-fraud, which is why we sent so much information initially.

That's why I'm trying to prepare so far in advance and trying to make sure we have enough evidence. Thanks so much for your help, Tina and Jordan!

You do raise a good point. How exactly did you go about doing the facebook conversations? Did you just copy and paste what you wanted to in Microsoft word or something?

It was kind of a pain. If you go on FB, you can download your FB data. This will download every FB conversation you've had with ANYONE and give you a record that is fairly easy to copy and paste selectively into a word doc.

HOWEVER, if you talk extensively with anyone else on FB, those conversations will be downloaded too. Thus, because my conversations with my sweetheart were the only conversations I really care about on FB, (everyone else in my life likes/is more able to have email or phone conversations ) I deleted all the conversations with other people I'd had on FB so that the only FB conversation record FB would download for me was the one with my sweetheart. Then I just went through it and picked the conversations that were light, fluffy and fairly impersonal.

I considered the screenshot idea but I wasn't sure if I was adept enough with that program to make it work. So I just copied and pasted from the FB download into a word doc and labeled the top of each one with the month I was copying. I tried to copy right from FB but it didn't look as neat and all the rich text being copied kept freezing my computer.

Here's what I did for FB messages: I went to "messages" and called up my conversations with my fiance'. Then when you scroll up, it'll say something like "loading older messages (14,025)." once that came on screen, I screen printed it. Once printed, I highlighted the number of older messages. They get the tail end of 14000+ messages to see, but can also see that we've talked A LOT on Facebook. I hope that makes sense.
