I'm not making excuses. I said when the NOI is out there leaving flyers and it makes the news, we can talk about it. It's just we always focus on the minority groups. But not the clan?

9/11 and Boston were perpetrated by different people and groups. When you add up every single act of terror that's happened here in the last 20 years, it doesn't come close to the amount of people killed by Americans in one year.

Check this out. I was doing some research last night on when the last time someone in my county got the death Penality. I stumbled across this.

Look at all the young black men put to death in GA in the 1920's 1950 or so for rape. I counted about 23 in 10 years. How many you wanna bet were, got caught with a white woman ?

Your assumption is that hate is disseminated to large numbers of people via fliers and club membership.

Thats old school.

We have lots of hate being spread, often times from a classroom or by music.

What else would prompt scores of Young Blacks to suddenly and with no provocation at all to attack whites even beating down old folks without taking a single thing.

Focusing on the Klan is a great fund raiser for $LPC but when was the last time you heard of someone being lynched?

While it has been popular in movies and hype, the truth is It has been virtually non existent for in our life time and very rare in our Father lifetime.

The original Black Panther party was not a hate group. Did not preach racial superiority or hatred. I will defend their legacy.

Had I been alive during those times I would have joined them maybe although my religious beliefs may have precluded me because like most Marxists they were atheists.

Like I said I before I have a great respect for the men and women of the non violent movements. I'm not sure I could have done it. I believe in self defense and I would have left a trail of bloody white sheets and blue uniforms in the wake of violence against me or my family.

Trying to compare a terrorist organization such as the Klan to an organization that picked up arms to defend themselves LAWFULLY from an oppressive State is quite naive on your part nature boy.

This is why I think race relations are a joke in this country. The huge double standard. You are defending a violent black hate group.

Blacks in this country want the whole country to be color blind, when and where it benefits them, but still hold on to some of the most racist actions I have ever witnessed, and it is tolerated.

I could go into some absurd spill about the original Klan being a organization to protect against lawless carpetbaggers, but I won't. Hate is hate, racism is racism.

The Harrisburg area. I can't say I'm surprised. That region is poor. Poor but proud white folk. Poor and angry black folk. Add in a recent addition of poor and hard working Hispanics and you got yourself an explosive mix.

Ten Point Program[edit]

The original "Ten Point Program" from October, 1966 was as follows:[19][20]

1. We want freedom. We want power to determine the destiny of our black Community.

We believe that black people will not be free until we are able to determine our destiny.

2. We want full employment for our people.

We believe that the federal government is responsible and obligated to give every man employment or a guaranteed income. We believe that if the white American businessmen will not give full employment, then the means of production should be taken from the businessmen and placed in the community so that the people of the community can organize and employ all of its people and give a high standard of living.

3. We want an end to the robbery by the white man of our black Community.

We believe that this racist government has robbed us and now we are demanding the overdue debt of forty acres and two mules. Forty acres and two mules was promised 100 years ago as restitution for slave labor and mass murder of black people. We will accept the payment as currency which will be distributed to our many communities.

4. We want decent housing, fit for shelter of human beings.

We believe that if the white landlords will not give decent housing to our black community, then the housing and the land should be made into cooperatives so that our community, with government aid, can build and make decent housing for its people.

5. We want education for our people that exposes the true nature of this decadent American society. We want education that teaches us our true history and our role in the present-day society.

We believe in an educational system that will give to our people a knowledge of self. If a man does not have knowledge of himself and his position in society and the world, then he has little chance to relate to anything else.

6. We want all black men to be exempt from military service.

We believe that black people should not be forced to fight in the military service to defend a racist government that does not protect us. We will not fight and kill other people of color in the world who, like black people, are being victimized by the white racist government of America. We will protect ourselves from the force and violence of the racist police and the racist military, by whatever means necessary.

7. We want an immediate end to POLICE BRUTALITY and MURDER of black people.

We believe we can end police brutality in our black community by organizing black self-defense groups that are dedicated to defending our black community from racist police oppression and brutality. The Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States gives a right to bear arms. We therefore believe that all black people should arm themselves for self defense.

8. We want freedom for all black men held in federal, state, county and city prisons and jails.

We believe that all black people should be released from the many jails and prisons because they have not received a fair and impartial trial.

9. We want all black people when brought to trial to be tried in court by a jury of their peer group or people from their black communities, as defined by the Constitution of the United States.

We believe that the courts should follow the United States Constitution so that black people will receive fair trials. The 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution gives a man a right to be tried by his peer group. A peer is a person from a similar economic, social, religious, geographical, environmental, historical and racial background. To do this the court will be forced to select a jury from the black community from which the black defendant came. We have been, and are being tried by all-white juries that have no understanding of the "average reasoning man" of the black community.

10. We want land, bread, housing, education, clothing, justice and peace. And as our major political objective, a United Nations-supervised plebiscite to be held throughout the black colony in which only black colonial subjects will be allowed to participate for the purpose of determining the will of black people as to their national destiny.

When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume, among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation. We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That, to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that, whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute a new government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness. I know the 10 pt system by heart Danno. Don't need you to post anything. Much of it applies to this day.

The original party never preached hate or racial superiority. Yes they were Marxists which is the biggest reason why many in the Black community rejected them. They were not a Nationalist organization, they were not Black Nationalist. I'm sure there may have been some elements of that but as a leadership platform that was never articulated.

The original founders were legal scholars. They had the right to bear arms even in public places, hardly criminal. It was Reagan as governor who changed the law.

Good black people and good white people should want colorblindness people period, and not just when it is beneficial. And people should fight when they see something racist happen instead of sitting back and saying it is not their business.

There is no double standards. I don't like blacks that do bad things, I don't like whites or any other race that does bad things. I don't defend racism like most of the VJers on here I see, including you Nature Boy.

You claim to understand what is really happening in America but I also can see through your hidden messages online and they really seem against black people.

Yes I am defending them.

No they were not a hate organization.

Given the turbulent times of the 1960s they were necessary and served a vital role in the Civil Rights movement. In many respects the success of the Peace movement fed off the alternatives. America had to deal with either pacifists or the bullet.

You want to know something else Nature Boy? Malcolm X is my personal hero. I love the man and his legacy. Who he was and who he became. He was our manhood. The Panthers referred to themselves as the Sons of Malcolm.

I would have also supported the Deacons for Defense too had I lived in the South.

I might not have survived during slavery, I would have been rolling with Nat Turner and Vessey. I would have been raging with John Brown too :)

What you guys think only right wing militias have the lock down on armed resistance? Blacks have been fighting here since day 1. If you think our history is one of passivity you need to read up on history.

That's the same thing I just said to him. It appears he really is against black people while he attempts to semi-defend blacks until it comes to talking about white hate of blacks.

The bravery it takes to participate in non-violent movements, whether in the US or in other countries, is simply amazing to me.

You want to know something else Nature Boy? Malcolm X is my personal hero. I love the man and his legacy. Who he was and who he became. He was our manhood. The Panthers referred to themselves as the Sons of Malcolm.

What I really find inspirational about Malcom was who he became. He didn't just stick stubbornly to his opinions, he grew and changed as a man. He was certainly not perfect, but his story, in its entirety, is incredible.
