Don't know dates of previous US visits

I have been looking over the info for the NVC stage, and the DS-260 ask for the last 5 visits to the US. We live a little over an hour from the US border and have gone over several times to go shopping for the day. Our passport is rarely if ever stamped when we drive across the border. I had no idea I would need this information someday, so here I am today with no idea what the dates are. Is there a way to find out the dates somehow? I don't even think I could come close trying to guess when we were there.

Started dating (online) June 2007

Met November 2007

Engaged August 2008

Married January 2009

He moved to Canada May 2009

Had a baby December 2011

USCIS

Mailed I-130 form-12/28/2013

Cheque cashed- 1/10/2014

NOA1- 1/15/2014

Priority date- 1/07/2014

Email saying our address was changed (we did not change it) 7/4/2014

NVC Received Case- 7/28/2014

Case number and IIN- 8/11/2014

I just put that I traveled to MI many times over the years for shopping trips that were for the day. Then I put down the trips with dates that were a week or more.

Did it only ask for the last 5 trips? Whoops, I may have gone overboard then. When I did mine, I was certain they asked for all trips to the US... which is hard because like you, I live about a half hour drive from the border. So I've spent many day trips and have gone back and forth for short trips to see my fiance over 30 times in the last 2 years... I put down all the travel I could remember or find email notes for but I'm certain I've missed a few...

April 09 - Interview - Delayed due to sealed package from civil surgeon not at local office

May 07 - GC in production

May 18 - GC in hand!!!

Maybe you can look at the receipts from your shopping trips. Or if you took money and exchanged it at the bank. I can't remember either, since I live 15 mins away and cross often.

So, I have a mini calendar/planner in my purse and check off every time I cross.

This is the information the DS-260 asks for:

Provide information on your last 5 U.S. visits.

Date arrived (1): DD/MM/YY

Length of Stay (1): XX days

Date arrived (2): DD/MM/YY

Length of Stay (2): XX days

Etc. to 5

So if you only went for the day to shop I don't think you need to count it. If you stayed for 3 or more days I would count it. They basically want to see how many times you've gone to visit your spouse for an extended period of time.

I just wrote a note explaining that we lived near the border and travelled across to shop, dine, etc at least once a week for the last few years.

Not a problem.

You don't need to be specific if you don't have the exact date. An approximation or guesswork is accepted. Try and be as precise as you can and be honest. Nothing to lose sleep over.
