Thank you for sharing what you wrote Melo...the tears are rolling down my face. Having just lost my grandfather and watching my father speak at his funeral...the pain for him (my father) still is in my heart.

It shows your father was a loved man. You will make it through this...

8/28/08 -------> Called USCIS was told biometrics scheduled for Sept 12 @ 3 pm

9/02/08 -------> Received NOA 1 showing receipt date as August 22, 2008

9/02/08 -------> Received bio appt by snail mail verifying scheduled date as 9/12 @ 3 pm

9/12/08 -------> Fingerprints taken

12/16/08------> Interview @ 10:05 am [PASSED]; OAth given at 2 pm

I dont know you... I dont think we've ever talked. But my most sincere condolences.

My GranDaddy died in October, and it was a quite a shocker, even though I knew he was old and ill, I was hoping to see him when I visited for the holidays in December, but he couldnt make it. I was so sad that I got physically ill.

I dont know if it was because I was not there for the funeral, but a few days after I forced my self to think about the happy times and all the good memories I had of my grand father, and somehow, even though I know he is gone, it stopped being so hard, cause for me he's still alive, in my mind, in my heart and in my memories.

There's no remedy to this kind of loss, but it's in our will to recover as best as we can from it. Your Daddy loved you bunches, I am sure he would not want to see you so sad, mourning his loss.
