IR1 LONG waiting for interview appointment

I am working on IR1 for my husband , the case has been completed on november 2013 at NVC and we still haven't an appointment interview at the embassy in cairo , I don't know why , i called the embassy , nvc and they told me wait we will inform you about it . now we waited 5 monthes and this month will be sixth month , i don't know what to do , it's normal to wait long time like my situation and how long we will wait please help

We've been waiting also, for Cairo interview.

We were approved December 2013

I call weekly and never any answers..

Egypt is so far behind due to the chaos only way to get interview faster is email and ask for expedite..good luck pray it goes faster for everyone

I have submitted requeset for expedite coz i live now with my husband in egypt and i'm pregnant and due to situation in egypt and my son should continue to take his requirements vaccines in santa ana but the embassy denied our requeset , i don't know why maybe i made some wrong in message for expedite really i tired and i don't know what to do

You are looking at wuite a wait come to the Case complete to Interview thread and there are aI believe 5 for your embassy one since September still waiting. Sorry

It is what it is. The embassy gives the NVC the timeslots in which they have availability.

You could possibly contact your senator or congressman about this as the issue is with a US embassy but I'm not sure they can do much, but it doesn't hurt to try.
