My Fiance paid her embassy fee to the US Embassy in Manila 4 days ago. I tried to set up her interview online, but after I typed the receipt number it says, there are currently no appointments available. From what I have read, Shouldn't there be a calendar on this page? Any suggestions? Thankyou

Same thing happened to me. What I did was I tried refreshing the page at random times and you will see that most of the time there will be an opening for 1 slot. If you call to schedule, they will tell you the same as they can only see the schedules that we can see. Careful though, cause you can only refresh the page I think less than 10times (they have a maximum number of times you can refresh it) after that you have to wait for the next day for it to reset.

hope this helps.

Just keep on checking till you see an opening.

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

The embassy is booked through May currently, I keep watching for June to be opened up... should happen very soon, until then - no calendar.

You can keep checking the website as it is possible for someone to cancel an appointment, then you can grab that.

I would get the first date you see so that at least you have a date.

Then, just keep looking for any dates that pop up. You have to be quick about rescheduling for a closer date bec you have to cancel your initial date and then schedule the new date, but since other people are also looking for earlier dates, you might cancel your date, but then someone gets the new date you want.

For us, we got an initial date or May 5, then about 3 days later, while I was looking, a random date of March 12th showed up. Thankfully, it was 1:30 AM eastern US time so maybe not too many people were checking. So I was able to cancel our original date and grab the new date before anyone else got it.

Also, if you grab a much closer date, you have to have all your paperwork set before the interview... tax info, signed affidavit of support, cenomar, nbi, medical, etc.

Yup it's Russian Roulette now with the embassy dates.

So many are trying to get dates. Be patient and keep checking.

I've read so many VJ stories of people grabbing a late date only to keep trying and they find something sooner. Good luck.

Is it better to try and call to set up an appointment?

Is it better to try and call to set up an appointment?

Not necessarily. The USEM hotline operators will be looking at the same appointment calendar. And most of the time, cancellations or new available slots are updated by the minute. With this, you'd still get a better chance of getting an appointment online sooner. Just a little more patience. :)
