I saw my status on Ceac website yesterday as "issued", can i buy my plane ticket now or i should wait to receive the passport?

The ceac website states that i will receive the visa within 10days, and i want to get ticket of 2nd April, 2014. I'm afraid if i wait till i get the passport before buying the ticket, it might be nearer to 2nd April and the tickets might be finished for the said date, or if not finished, might be expensive compared to buying it now. PLEASE ADVICE! THANKS FOR READING AND REPLYING!

I think it'll be tight,

It is stated on VJ many times over to wait until you have the visa in hand before making any definite plans, including purchasing the plane ticket. It is your safest bet.

It's much better to wait for the passport to arrive before purchasing plane ticket. Like what happened in my case, my husband already got me a ticket before my passport/visa arrive. When I received my visa, I noticed that the consulate entered a wrong birth year so I had to go back to the embassy and have it corrected. They cancelled my visa and issued me a new one which took like a week. So my husband paid a penalty in changing the departure date of the ticket.
