Hi again and thank all of you for sharing your experience.

My husband has received an email from uscis a day after they got our I-130 packet which is 18 March but not the hard copy yet. When we started this journey I was like "waiting for NOA1 is nothing. The REAL testing of patience starts after that" but look at me now I cant even stop reading other people's experience on this website and on others!

I really hope everyone could join their loved one asap!

I got the email from uscis a day before you did and still no hard copy yet, so I guess I still don't have NOA1. I thought the email was considered NOA1 :(

I'm not in panic mode yet, saving that for later but hopefully I won't need it :)

Just hang in there... the email is basically the NOA1..... It's approved and in the mail so any day... if it takes more than a week after the email, you may want to call though..

Hey guys, we just got email notification that our case has been accepted! No PD mentioned in the text but It has been routed to the Nebraska Service Center for processing. We noticed the funds were withdrawn from our bank account this morning but had no idea the email would follow so soon after. Yesssssssss

Comparing timelines, it looks as if it takes about 7-10days from the day you mail the i-130 until you get the initial email from USCIS indicating your petition was accepted and sent to a service center to be processed.

The NOA1 seems to be going quick.. The real wait is for the NOA2 which is a ####### shoot from what I've seen. I've seen anywhere from 6 weeks to 8 months for it. Hopefully none of us have to wait that long..

yes, together with the receipt number, the first 3 letters of the receipt number is the service center where they will process your application.
