I know that it hasn't been that long but I was thinking about emailing my congresswoman and I didn't know what to say...any ideas...what di you guys say in your emails/letters? Thanks.

Our K-1 Time Line

04/2006 ~ met in downtown Cairo

~ spent the most amazing time together exploring the Western Desert and Cairo

5/2006 ~ returned home reluctantly

~spent the next months getting to know each other

9/2006 ~ decided to start filing K-1 visa

10/31/06 ~ sent via FedEx I-129F application to NSC

11/01/06 ~ NSC received K-1 application (signed by R. Pitcher @ 0900)

11/08/06 ~ NOA1 (thank god!!!)

11/09/06 ~ touched

11/13/06 ~ received NOA1 by snail mail from CSC

11/30/06 ~ touched

12/13/06 ~ touched

01/24/06 ~ NOA2 APPROVAL EMAIL!!!

01/27/07 ~ NOA2 received by snail mail

02/05/07 ~ Letter from NVC with case number

02/06/07 ~ Case left NVC on the way to Cairo

02/14/07 ~ Received Packet 3

02/25/07 ~ Medical exam done

03/09/07 ~ Sent Packet 3 to embassy

04/20/07 ~ Received Packet 4

04/29/07 ~ Interview completed, awaiting AP.....G-d be with us!

06/26/07 ~ Received THE call to send in passport for visa issuance

07/12/07 ~ VISA IN HAND!!!

07/23/07 ~ supposed to come but got denied in the airport because of stupidity

07/28/07 ~ ARRIVING IN SEATTLE....HOPEFULLY!!!

In addition, many congreesman/senators will not "carry a torch" for you until you are past the USCIS reported processing timelines. Does not mean you cannot inquire but just be aware of the type of a response you may get.

I cintacted mine and gave her the info as soon as I started asked for help or anything they could do.....she kept on top of it and I'm sure just checked the dates etc thru the website.....but was willing to help more if I went over the time line for the apps. Good luck it can't hurt.

Our congressman's office is helping us out with something and we are not past processing times. No harm in asking. A good one will try to help you out, even if they know it is useless. I know that makes no sense really, but it's more along the line of no harm in trying.

2001 Met

2005 Married

I-485/I-130

12/06/2006-------Mailed I-130/1-485

12/16/2006--------Recieved NOA 1 (I-130 & I-485)

12/18/2006--------Touched I-130/I-485

01/20/2007--------Biometrics

05/10/2007 -- Interview, Approved!

05/22/2007 GREEN CARD arrives!!!

02/2009 - File to lift conditions

I-765

12/14/2006--- Mailed EAD App.

01/20/2007--- Biometrics

02/09/2005-------Sent in request to Congressional office for assistance with expediting EAD.

02/13/2007 -------- EAD Approved!

02/26/2007 - ------EAD received

Removal of Conditions:

05/12/2009 -- Overnighted application by USPS express mail (VSC).

05/14/2009 -- Green Card expired.

05/23/2009 --- Check cleared bank.

05/26/2009 -- Received NOA (NOA date May 15, 2009, guess they aren't deporting me).

05/29/2009- Biometrics Notice date

06/01/2009- Received Biometrics Letter

06/18/2009 - Biometrics

09/23/2009 - date of decision to approve (letter received), just waiting for card. No online updates whatsoever.
