Hello!

I've been residing in Puerto Rico since last December (06 Dec 2013). I'm going to apply for becoming a a lawful permanent resident (LPR or Green card?). I'm russian and I've been married US citizen during 1 year 3 month (We got married in Italy because we live in Italy). I've got B1/B2 visa type (admitted class B2 until 05 June 2014).

I need to go to Russia for 1 month this April and then I'm coming back to PR to my husband (He's been working here since last December, also his parents are there, he's from PR).

1. What do I have to do: stay in PR, apply for a LPR (=Green Card?) and after I'm given I can visit Russia or first I can go to Russia in April and after I return to PR (beginning of May) I can apply for LPR (Green card) (Won't it be too late to apply for LPR)?

2. How long does it take to get Green card (LPR)?

Thank you!

Are you sure you'll be able to return on B2 visa after only a month out? I doubt it.

Apply for AOS and advance parole that will let you travel while your GC application is pending.

It took me 4 months to do AOS, but it was a while ago.

Another question:
I was given the form I-130 in the Immigration center, I have to fill in it, send by post and then I'll get an appointment for interview.

Should I apply for them (form I-130 and I-131 (Application for Travel Document: Advance parole) at the same time? Or I apply for I-131 after interview...Or it's not even correct to use them together? Because I found that I-131 form refers to form I-485 but I've got I-130 that's why I doubt.

Sorry I feel a bit lost :D

Thank you!

One more question:

How long does it take to get Advance parole? Because I really need to go to Russia.

Thank you!

Assume 90 Days for AP.

You should read the guides,

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
