Hi everyone,

First of all, I own a 2 year green card. Since I immigrated to the United States (7 months ago), I traveled outside 2 times already (1 month each travel)

and now I'm planning to go to Brazil on this June to watch the World Cup in a 45 days travel.

So my question is: Do you think I might have problems when I apply to renew for my 10 years green card? They will question me the reason

of traveling a lot in a short period of time? or they could consider that normal?

thank you, and sorry for english mistakes.

It only becomes an issue if you're going away for long periods of time and are not able to fulfill the terms of your residency.

The I-751 form to remove conditions does not ask about travel. However, if you are traveling with your spouse, that can be helpful for ROC to show you take vacations as a married couple. Short trips do not affect your permanent residency. http://www.uscis.gov/green-card/after-green-card-granted/maintaining-permanent-residence

We traveled to Brasil a couple of times on the conditional green card. We were gone usually a month at a time. We had no problem re-entering, and we filed for ROC without problems when it was time. Have a good trip!

You can travel as much as you want, it will have no bearing on your ROC. Needless to say, you can't stay away for more than 1 year at a time...
