Here in California the word "like" is used a lot by the younger generation. The other day Hicham and I were talkign to eachother in English and he said like about 2 times per sentence and he wasn't using similes.

Then I was like Hicham who taught you to like, say like so many times in like every sentence?

Then he was like "whatever".

I dislike 'whatever'.

And 'like whatever' is even worse. For example "And then I rebooted the server and an error message popped but I was like whatever".

Craig says that too. I don't know...I just find it to be an extremely vile, filthy word. Probably just because of growing up how/where I did...just like if we didn't learn certain other words were "bad" we would never have known... ? Can't really explain it, but when I hear that word....it just makes me cringe. M.
