Hi everyone, smile.png

The beneficiary here.

I have been racking my brains about providing proof of relationship once we get NOA2, besides the obvious communication log. I want to include printed pages from our blog that we co-write and providing only the posts that refer to our story. However, I am not sure if this is taken as a legitimate proof of relationship.

Anyone here have done the same before? Any advice?

Thanks in advance.

It's not going to harm your case, but I don't think it is going to help much, other than to show how your relationship evolved, and a concise cover letter would be better for that. Direct communication (emails, phone bills) would be better, as well as of course evidence of time spent together.

Thanks for replying. :)

We are including communication logs such as facebook, viber, magic jack, skype and emails. I have called him directly too but from a prepaid card and I do not think my telecom office is going to provide a call log for that number. I'll inquire though. :)

We're also creating a scrapbook of photos of us together. The blog has a few posts we wrote while we were in the same city and taken the photos. Maybe I can reference the photos along with the posts we wrote, sort of like cross referening. Or is too much clutter for the CO?

phone logs can easily be faked, so have little value.

Photos, photos, photos. Show the two of you doing everyday things a couple would do. Photos with the family, etc. Tickets and recepts showing the two of you in the same place at the same time. Type out a chronology of your relationship.

Ok..so not going to stress too much about phone logs. How about viber and skype? Are screenshots of our communication in those medium taken seriously?

We do not have that many photos of us together, but I have saved a few receipts from restaurants where we had meals together. I am confused as how to submit them at evidence as I do not have any supporting evidence that it was the two of us that had the meal in question. :P

I'm not sure if my fiancé has saved his tickets, but he has the visa stamps on his passport to prove he has visited the country.

When you say "Type out a chronology of your relationship.", does it mean a simple point wise dated events or more of a narrative nature?

Thanks for your help. :D

Don't over think it. The consulate wants to be sure you have a legitimate relationship. You can include phone and skype logs, but that alone isn't going to get it done. Photos alone won;t get it done. It's the whole package.

Your fiance should make copies of his visa stamps, ticket stubs, hotel, etc. Anything that puts the two of you together at the same time.

Write a simple one page letter about how you met and how the relationship has grown.

Photos of the two of you together and with the beneficiary family are helpful.

Be very carefull not to mention anything about a wedding or engement ceremony in your letter, blog, or skype logs. Remmember you are applying to get married in the future any sniff that you may have already gotten married will scuttle your K-1.

The beneficiary should know everything about the petitioner and his life. Typical interview questions:

Where does he work?

how many siblings does he have? What are there names?

Was he married before? how long?

Does he have children? Names?

Do you know he was arrested for......?

If you have a real relationship, that will come through, so don;t worry too much. There may be additional evidence your Consulate likes to see. You can ask that question here: http://www.visajourney.com/portals/index.php?country=Nepal

Thanks for your help slowlyman :)

Definitely going to make a whole package. I've decided to make a scrapbook with all the images and ticket stubs (he did save them, yay!! :D ) we have together along with corresponding communication logs (includes skype, email, viber, facebook and magic jack). As you suggested, the scrapbook will be accompanied by a letter than chronologically lists the major events in our relationship. :)

We do not have any photos with my family though, as they were against the relationship at first. We only started the process after we finally got their blessing.

Your suggestion is duly noted about the blog. I think I'm going to skip mentioning it completely as we have talked a lot about marriage and weddings on it. Planning ours and telling stories of other's wedding though. We are definitely not getting married before we are done with POE. I do not want to screw up the process and have it take any longer than it should. This distance is hard on the heart. :\

Thanks for the sample questions too.

Where does he work? - I know this by heart, down to the address of his office. ;)

how many siblings does he have? What are there names? - yup, this one too.

Was he married before? how long? - Nope

Does he have children? Names? - Nope

Do you know he was arrested for......? - I don't think so. I'll ask him just to make sure. :D

Thanks again for your help. Much appreciated. :D
