Hello everyone.

Im from Philippines, worked in HK. So i will need a police clearance. I've read that one of their requirement is a letter from the immigration(US) stating that i need a police certificat.Where can i get this?and it says a bankdraft in hongkong dollars.do they accept a different currencies?like dollar or euro maybe.

Your help will be very much appreciated

My husb is Filipino living in Japan. They also req'd something from the US showing why its being requested....he's still in Japan so we were able to use the first email/ltr that came from the NVC that shows our NVC file # and states its for immigration to the US. We also had to get a cert from Taiwan which req'd only a notorized signature and passport copy. It might be important for you to verify how long the HK police cert is valid...the police cert (not NBI) we got from Manila shows a 6mth expiration. Theres a fine line here wih timing....you dont want to wait too long but you may not be able to get them too early. My personal opinion is that if you havent yet had your I-130 approved and been moved to a new Service Center, you would be wasting your time getting the certs now. Are you in the PI now?

Hopefully, you either got an email or snail mail letting you know what is needed. This is all you will need. My gal was an OFW in HK and had to do the same as you are having to do.

September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

...im in germany...im processing my visa here as my husband is working as a DoD cilivian for the us military...they already approved my I-130...the thing is ,NVC didnt send me any mail on what paperworks do i need to provide...but they already asked me to fill up DS260...and when i checked my status,it says in there that it ready for interview...im all confused now...thanks everyone for your help
