Had my oath taking this morning and finally an official citizen of the USA! :) I arrived 2 minutes before my scheduled time and thought they were about to start, turned out they waited 45 minutes longer for all applicants to fill all the seats before starting the ceremony. I was surprised, one of the applicant that was seated beside me said she applied only 3 months earlier. I thought the time-frame would be the same since we were in the same state. The ceremony should be 45 minutes only but it took about an hour and 15 minutes because everyone wanted to take pictures while receiving their certificate :) It was a nice day and one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Thanks Visa Journey and for all the helpful members! We'll keep in touch!

i did my Oathtaking today also in Tampa, Florida. Same venue where i had my citizenship interview. ......total applicants are 77 in different countries to sworn in.....It was a great experience and i feel so emotional when they keep showing video and songs....the whole event took only 45 minutes.....then, they gave us an advised to apply for a passport in 2-weeks, told us too to update Social Security Office and DMV that you are naturalized citizen already..... They took our greencard!......and before heading out after the ceremony they told us to double check the certificate if there is any error before going out to an exit or else it will cost u another $585!!!!!........the lady who handed us the certificate to sign the certificate same signature what it is shown on the Picture (mine was Jane D. Smith just an example)...but what is clearly stated on the certificate is "FULL SIGNATURE" which means sign it like Jane Doe Smith..right?.....right now i did not sign it yet..so confusing!.....but it was a great experience...Goodluck everyone on there interview and Oathtaking soon! :goofy:

There was someone that asked me earlier if I remembered the 6 questions, here is what the Officer asked me:

-When was the Constitution written?

-What is the age that men have to register for Selective Service?

-What is a State that borders Canada?

-What ocean is on the East coast?

-What does freedom of religion mean?

-How many Senators do we have ?

I hope this helps, I found Tampa Office to be very professional and nice people over there, now just waiting for my Oath Ceremony letter in the mail! Good luck everyone :)

Hi everyone! I found the Oath Ceremony letter in the mail on Sunday, the Ceremony will be on Friday, 12th of September. That means that my letter was delivered on Saturday, one day after they mailed it out. I am so excited and happy and I wish everyone here good luck with their journeys and may God bless us all! :dancing:

Hi everyone! I found the Oath Ceremony letter in the mail on Sunday, the Ceremony will be on Friday, 12th of September.
