Hello everyone !

I have my interview on 20th of March in New Delhi.

I have one question that I have already submitted originals of Police cert and passport police cert to NVC, on the interview letter, they have written 'O' against passport police cert which means they have forwarded it to the embassy and on the India Police certificate they have written 'F' which states "NVC did not request this form or document" , But I have submitted original to them

Now do I have to get Police Certificate again from the start or should I just carry the copy of the original which I sent to NVC assuming they have forwarded it to the Consulate. Also to tell you that certificate is valid for 6 months and has not expired yet. Please suggest

Thanks

We had the same "status" in our interview letter. Generally Passport office gives you two originals. One can be sent to NVC and other can be taken to the interview just in case. So in our case Wife had another original and a copy with her that she took on the day of her interview. She wasn't asked the PCC anyway. Since your PCC hasn't expired yet you should be OK with a copy.

Just to let you know the PCC from passport office is what is needed for Indian nationals. If you aren't an Indian national then they need a PCC from the police station which does not apply to you and that is the reason "India Police certificate has 'F'".

Thanks Vkrishn for assisting me. This means so now I won't have to bribe police officers and go through the struggle and inconvenience given by system here to make another PCC.

Such a relief.

Thanks dancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif

You didn't have to get a PCC from police station anyway in the first place. I wonder why did you do that? You need a PCC from the local passport office and they generally give you two originals.
