hi after i attend the seminar in CFO manila the supervisor hold my sticker and asking my fiance birth certificate to check his mothers in maiden name.and i showed to her my fiance birth certificate wriiten his name and but no parents name on it ,but its from DOH in new york and its from vital statistics office still invalid.ohmy.png the supervisor said she need the BC from Statistics in US.when i ask my fiance he said that BC is what he gave to him when he requested for a copy. and he used it when he apply for his passport.is it normal in US that BC is not written their parents name???i need your suggestions helpsmilie.gif plsss thank you in advance its frustrating coz im so cnfident yesterday that i have provided all the requirements needed.how frustratingsad.png

It is not "normal." Was your fiance adopted? That is the only reason I can think of that at least the mother's name would not be on the certificate (excluding a clerical error when printing the certificate.) If your fiance was adopted, it should be possible to find a correction to add the adopted parents' names to the BC. He'll need to look at the process in NY.

If your fiance got his passport before 2011, it would have been possible to use the certificate without the name of the parents. In 2011 a policy changed that requires the names of parent's on the birth certificate.
