Ok so I worked three different jobs last year. I only work one job now which is a very-good paying job that greatly exceeds the 125% requirement. Here's my concern for two months last year I worked at a McDonalds (before I got my good job) so thats what i put on my job history. Well I went to get the tax return form for it and its listed by its Franchise name and not McDonalds. Will this screw things up?

You're history is helpful, but you MUST prove you currently have a job where your income is about 100% the poverty guideline. If your current job falls between 100% and 125% of the poverty guideline you should get a co-sponsor. So, with that said again, provide the evidence of this and you should be okay. Show all your jobs and income. Surely by now that's making sense to you.

I already specified the current job I have now alone makes over 125% of the requirement. Please read what I say carefully.

C'mon now, you're taking this way too personally. I've read every post you have made carefully, but you keep asking the same questions over and over again. No one here on this board can guarantee you that you will be approved. The letter of immigration law is very clear, but how it's interpreted varies from person to person, consulate to consulate, and lawyer to lawyer.

You said in other posts that your current employer refuses to provide you a letter of employment and everyone has told you that doesn't matter if you have pay stubs, bank statements and tax returns. It does however tell me that after you pass your interview that you should tell your boss to get screwed and find another job.

And you did not address my question. Will my former job which was a franchise cause problems because it has a differnet name on my job history then on my tax returns?

I make A LOT of money at this job. I'd be a fool to give it up.

That's your choice. Quite frankly and in my opinion there is more to life than money and any boss that refuses to sign a letter that affects my personal life to such a degree is no better than an #######-hole who cares nothing about you.

We live in a time where good jobs are hard to come by. I am lucky to be making 40k a year without a college degree. But you still havent addressed my question about the tax return and job history problem? That's what this topic is about.

I am honestly trying to be patient with you, but it seems you are lacking a little common sense. If I put myself in your shoes I would want to present my entire job history the past five years. That includes every tax return, every W2, samples of pay stubs, company names, addresses, telephone numbers, bosses name, and so on. If the company changed it's name I would write that history in the letter to explain the name of the company when I began working and the details of how they changed the name. Give them your history and take a chill pill. If you now make over 125% you'll be fine unless you start letting your anxiety take charge of your reasoning.

Well it's not a name change. It's just the name of the Franchise that owns that McDonalds. But as you know I-129F petiion is already sent in. Should I get a paper that specifies this franchise owned the mcdonalds I used to work at. Should I include it when I send in all the proof of financial support.

London isn't going to care about jobs you don't work anymore. As long as you have pay stubs for your current job showing you make more than 125% of the poverty level, that is all they will take from you. You're stressing yourself out unnecessarily.

But no. They're not going to penalize you for putting McDonalds instead of the name of the franchise owner.

It is fairly common for franchise businesses to use a different name. All three franchises I worked at had different business names on my tax returns (in Canada). I think they will have knowledge of that. You should be fine! :)

Every US employer has an EIN that's listed on both your W2 and US tax return. This is a unique number that identifies who you work for. Every consulate has access to that information and can quickly check any anomalies. You're in good shape corvus as long as you have your W2s and tax returns for your current job. Also, if you've not yet filed a tax return for your new job, you can provide your pay stubs. Since your new employer refuses to provide you with an employment letter, you can ask them for their EIN or search for it online.

It doesn't matter for the purposes of your immigration case smile.png

Also, don't worry about the letter from your employer. It's not a requirement and the UK embassy is an easy one (relatively speaking) to deal with. Most recent tax return and current paystubs (maybe up to 6 months) will do nicely.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

Long as you have tax transcripts and its your name and ss#. I am a software engineer and a contractor so I work for Software Consulting , Inc. (they cut the check) but they contract me out to say Mcdonalds. McDonalds will never be on my check. But I have them listed on my resume and job history. You can always write a coverletter to explain. But it should be of no issue.

Like i said your tax transcripts will have all the information they need.

Stop worrying over every little thing. That situation is common. My old employer was British Gas, but technically the company was Centrica Plc. They don't care about the little things like that, they care that you make the required amount for immigration purposes currently and will continue to do so, not jobs you had before now.
