Yep, let's keep this thread alive.

Macruff,

I also believe that they are nicer to military couples in general. When the IO asks you for a state ID for identification, give him/her your DEERS ID, just to reinforce (remind him/her) that you are a military spouse.

I know there is another forum for Interview waivers, but I'm interested if there is anyone else who filed in February that is still waiting after they got an interview waiver letter. I got my letter in May. It's right at 6 months for us, but from what I'm seeing, I might have to wait another month or 2.

Anyone in the same boat as me?

My tip is that let the USC carry and handle all the evidences at the interview. That way you'll show the IO that your USC spouse actually cares about your approval more than you do.

Hmmm, I don't know. I did all the handling, only because I'm the organized one in my marriage

The IO didn't seem to care at all, but I get what you're saying - if you're handling everything it might seem like your spouse doesn't "care".. as in they don't care because you don't have a valid marriage.

Gosh, I wouldn't stress about that at all Macruff!

Interview by 10:15 got out by 10:45

Asked yes or no questions...

And then asked if we have an questions..

He had all our evidence in the file, but I still gave him more.

He then printed the form and said, "say thorerically, I approve you today, right now, because there is no reason not to, please give us 120 days, blah blah blah.."

Then he proceeded to tell me a story of a couple who were approved but still took 6 months to get their GC because for some reason,... Blah blah, we are humans..

If you dont hear anything from me, its good news.. Blah blah...

Now just waiting for my approval text.
