Hello, I hope you can help me.
I should work at Disneyland Orlando the next spring and I think I will have a J-1 visa.
My question is, if I will dismiss or I will be fired, I know that I will have to return to my country. But if I want to do a journey in the USA, Can I return with an ESTA? Can I do that now before the J-1? Is it possible or I will have some problems?
Sorry for my english oops8rh.gif

Thak you for your answers!! smile.png

Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately I can't use the days before my job starts because I have some things to do here in my country. So my question is only after my dismissal;do you think that if I will return on the 1st of August, can I have the ESTA into one week? Or I need more time? It is better to do the ESTA now, or they will cancel it when they give me the J1?

I tried to contact the US embassy in my country, but they gave me only evasive answer, so I ask to you for more information.

If'n yer dismissed,

I think it's grand if'n you take the costume with you,

and wear it on yer train ride across America.

---------[sorry to sound silly]---------

Dismissal on a j-1 has rules - please to study them soonish.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

If it's for Disney, it's more likely a Q visa -- so check out the requirements for that, too.

About getting admitted under the VWP (which is the ESTA you are talking about) is always the decision of an immigration officer at the Port of Entry. Might depend on how long you were in the US on the Disney visa, why you were terminated, what period of time it is before you have to be back in your home country, etc.
