Hi everyone,

I am wondering if anyone who has already gone through this process has some advice about phone records and Excel. My phone company sent my records to me on a CD which contains an excel sheet of 190 pages. It lists all my text messages over a 6 month period, both with my fiance and other people. Since I know that I can't submit the CD and will need to print the records, I am wondering if it is best to print all 190 pages or to sort based on numbers first and then print out only the relevant phone calls. I am a little nervous to sort them because I do not want the excel sheet to look modified (since it is not on official company letterhead or anything).

Any advice? Should I sort or print out all 190 pages and highlight the appropriate calls?

Thanks so much!

Nothing will be modified until you re-save the Excel. If you like, you can save it to a diff file name so you don't modify the original.

I'd not sort but filter on the numbers you want. Filtering is quite simple, but I'll let you look it up in google.

Once filter is in place, it does not touch any of the info, just presents only what you want shown and then you can print that.

Excel data is not a validated way of conveying information from the first to a third party. Even without sorting you can manipulate the data and it would appear suspicious. I don't know how the CO's look on this but to me it ain't a proper way of data presentation with the petitioner being the middleman... if know what I mean. I would request the original PDF files from the phone provider(s) that would look like the monthly bills. I know the major phone carriers supply the data up on request even if you are not with them anymore. However, if you are within the same phone provider, you can download your call history in a PDF file from the carrier's website.

Not phone records, but I sent in our whatsapp chats along with skype records. What I did for the whatsapp records was to include one day each week, alternating through each day of the week. This cut it down from more than 1500 pages to 90, which I printed out with 2 pages per sheet.
