Just updating my timeline, looking enviously at all the others. Looks like Hartford is a slow USCIS office, even many of the March filers are already done, but I am still waiting even to be scheduled for the Interview. No update on the USCIS website either.

Thanks Visajourney, I passed my interview today :) Interview took about 10-15 minutes, officer was really nice. She asked me to see driver license, green card, passports, marriage certificate, wife's proof of citizenship and selective service registration. For the civics, she asked the following questions:

1. how many senators

2. when male should register for selective service

3. one state that borders canada

4. US capital

5. when constitution was written

6. cant remember last one;

then to read " What do we pay to the Government, and write "we pay taxes. Then, we went through my application.

I passed and attended to the last Oath ceremony of the day. Im officially a US Citizen.! THANKS A LOT GUYS

Me too, been waiting since the 2nd week of March.

This week will mark 90 days, so a call to USCIS will be occurring.

Where will you go for your naturalization interview?

All,

Please update the table with the following:

  • Filed on 2/18/2014
  • Received notification of acceptance on 2/27/2014
  • Biometrics was on 4/3/2014
  • Interview on 5/14/2014 (passed and she was told that she will take the Oath on July 3rd in Pawtuckett, RI)

Still waiting for letter with times of the Oath.

Question:

It hasn't been a month yet but we have not received a letter for her scheduled times for the Oath Ceremony. Should we be concerned or should I have her still go to the Oath Ceremony?

Please help us! Thanks!

Sorry..I forgot to mention that this is out of the Johnston, RI office location.

And the interviewer specifically stated that she is to come to the Pawtuckett Stadium where she will be naturialized.

Another question I have is that he stated that she will need to file separate paperwork on her children since they are still green card holders. They are aged 7 and 5 years old. Can anyone explain the process on how to change the kids status to naturalization?

To summarize my questions:

  1. It hasn't been a month yet but we have not received a letter for her scheduled times for the Oath Ceremony. Should we be concerned or should I have her still go to the Oath Ceremony?

  3. What does the oath ceremony case status say when you have a scheduled Oath Ceremony?

I've been waiting for over 60 days now. Let me know what they say on the phone.

Me too, been waiting since the 2nd week of March.

This week will mark 90 days, so a call to USCIS will be occurring.

60 days? That's terrible!

I used InfoPass and scheduled a meeting for 8:00 AM on Monday, June 16th (the soonest that I can get an appointment for her).

This wait is killing me!

Thank you to everyone that can help and ease my mind on this process for my wife.

1. Call USCIS Or make an Infopass appointment, I do not know if they'll let her get naturalized on that day if she does not have the appointment letter as it is a requirement to take it to the ceremony.

2. As soon as she received her certificate of naturalization and is a naturalized citizen her children automatically become citizens too. You would have to file an N-600 Application for Certificate of Citizenship, One For Each and since you have 2 children it would be a filing fee of $1,200 or $600 for Each.

3. My Husband Was Just naturalized on May 30th and this is what it says:

On May 15, 2014, we scheduled you for your oath ceremony and sent a notice providing the date, time, and location. If you move prior to the scheduled ceremony, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Naturalization Applicants: you will receive your certificate at your oath ceremony. You can expect to be scheduled for an oath ceremony within 45 days of receiving your recommended approval. Many offices schedule approved applicants for the oath ceremony on the same day as the day of the interview. Please check the local office profile page on our website to determine if the office where you will be interviewed schedules same day oath ceremonies.

Never Received  - NOA 

01/18/2018 - I-551 Stamp (Day 305)

06/26/2018 - Case was transferred to NSC. (Day 463)

08/03/2018 - Received 18 month extension letter. (Day 501)

09/01/2018 - Submitted N400! (Day 530)

 

N-400 Citizenship 

Permanent Resident Since: 05/20/2015

Local USCIS Office: Oakland Park, FL 

Applied Online. 

 

09/01/2018 - Application Submitted Online (N-400)

09/07/2018 - Received physical copy of app receipt in the mail. (Day 6)

09/08/2018 - Biometrics Scheduled. (Day 7)

09/27/2018 - Biometrics appointment. (Day 26)

06/21/2019 - Interview Scheduled. (Day 293)

08/10/2019 - Interview - Passed. (Day 343)

08/23/2019 - Oath Ceremony!!! (Day 356)
